Quiet you Just because I can and have gotten a few dashes for around $50, doesn't means I can't voice an opinion and be eager to see what it looks like on or cars.

what is with you and opinions? if you were reading the thread you wouldve seen that he said he was doing an install and was going to post pics. this has nothing to do with opinions. stop being a cockbag and give him a chance to show you what it will look like.

I paid $35 for a used dash with no cracks or wear at a salvage yard. I took it out myself, and the dash comes out easy. I also had to pay to have the VIN plate switched at the State Highway Patrol salvage place (+$75). That was the biggest hassle. It is still cheaper than the cover. Here's what mine looks like now:

That picture would have been way better if there wasn't snow on my hatch cover! XD

Right on that one no cracked Dashes here I'm in SC, 30 minutes south of Hot Import Night Show in Charlotte, NC.

Why? You can swap out a dash, but you can't drill out a couple of rivets and replace the tag yourself? I don't understand.

looks great, cant wait to see the write up.

ever thought of attaching with velcro?

i thought it might be a good idea, in case you ever need to get it off, or decide or run wires under it to mount a gauge or something.

it might elevate it though and make it look wierd.

eehh, you could do velcro, but the fit & finish would'nt look so hot. However I would just glue it down to make it whole. Now when the dashes are released with the gauge pod holders, I'd just drill a hole for wires & senders.

Dude, you HAVE to go into detail on how you cut out that hole for your HUD. Unless they started making them precut. Anyway, looks great, want more pics!!

I ordered one of these for my 86 BMW 325 and was not too happy. I hate to bash a vendor, but the dash cover looked great for about two months then it startrd to warp and crack even worse than my original. Now if I take off the cover I'll have glue marks all over my original dash. I would stay away from these things.
