i'm interested in one but i have a h.u.d. also. if you cut this material, is it going to be black still, or is it going to look like complete ****.Dammitboy wrote:These are available now, $161 shipped. To order, call Frank with Coverlay at 1-800-633-7090
As for you HUD guys (me being one of them) you'll have to cut out the hole, which is cake.

Hi Shahdad,shahdad wrote:Hi BigMike
I am new here to this site and i am in need of changing my dash for my 240SX and I read about coverlay and saw the picture but is it as good as the real dash and easy to install?

Thats your opinion and you're definitely entitled to it, but others may prefer to risk a crack with a mint junkyard piece or pay big $$ for a properly recovered piece. Considering many mint dashes can be had for sub $50, I'd rather risk that than an ill fitting, hard piece of plasticblackieblack wrote:i dont understand why everyone wants pics. having an overlay is better than having a cracked dash, or spending money on a clean dash and risk it cracking. just order it. i just saw this thread today and im going to order one tomorrow. my dash is really badly cracked compared to alot of other s13 dashes ive seen. so anything to cover it up will help with the eyesore.
Shinhead, oh I'm putting up. If you read my post up a few, I'll have it next wednesday, chief.ShinHed wrote:Dammit boy:You got everyone interested so, you should put up or shut up, bra.
if the case were as such then why wouldnt we all be able to buy a dash? why does this thread even exist? and why would the overlay even exist? ive been to junkyards as far as chicago and havent found a clean one. there were two at a local junkyard, the same junkyard. i asked them if i could take both. and told them to remove them if possible. they did. but one was in a fairly mishapen car and their removing it caused it to crack. the other one idk how they ****ed it up. but they did and they were worthless when i went to get them. if anyone who can get a dash for around 50, or even cheaper than the overlay. why are you even interested in the overlay. it would be obvious then that the overlay isnt for you so dont post you crap on here. and thanks to dammitboy i dont have to look at my goddamn ugly dash. it looks like a continental rift.ShinHed wrote:Thats your opinion and you're definitely entitled to it, but others may prefer to risk a crack with a mint junkyard piece or pay big $$ for a properly recovered piece.
