How often do you drive your vert anyway? Phoenix is a big place, but I'll tell her to look out for the sleepy black 240

If you can revinyl a dash, I wanna see it. You must have mad skills.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that this is a perfect solution?

Because that's trailer-park style.

Don't forget to get it embroidered with "240sx" so people know what you drive.

Pretty often, altho it's getting a little warm here to be driving a black on black droptop.

Tell her to come out to Firebird this weekend for NICOfest.

This is a perfect solution? Hard plastic caps are never a "perfect solution". I'll hold further judgment until D-day.

Although I have a, perfect black dash (knock on wood), I'll experiment with a cracked one that I also have, in-order to see what's so hard about removing the old vinyl.

I swear I've seen it done on a 240sx forum before.

Haha. No problemo man. Mine has some pretty beastly cracks. It's an ex Arizona car. I just got inside from pulling the engine.
Nothin wrong w/ the cracks in the dash ;P all fixable. Besides, I'd rather have your dash problems than my passenger side frame rail rusting apart. Car looks pimp man, I'm sure you're rust free lol

The vinyl on an old dash will be hard and brittle, and the underlying foam will be as well. It'll come off in chunks.

Then, once it comes off, you gotta fill in the chunks and make sure it's perfectly smooth.

Then you have to cover it with something equally durable - keep in mind, your dash was created by injecting polyethylene (I think it's PTE) into a mold at intense heat and pressure.

I'm tellin' ya, $160 is cheap, and I'd challenge anyone to notice that it's an overlay without close inspection.

Lastly, removing and replacing the dash in a 240 is a PITA. Why bother?

I heard when you die, you see unicorns, and 240's with no rust, frame damage, or cracked dashes. Oh, and no tweed as well.

All I can say is this- Wait for the pics of the actual product, the install write- up and before & after pics. These will speak for themselves- Nuff' said!

In the meantime, Go straight to the source- call Frank with Coverlay with questions, concerns & orders!!!Kevin

Neither or none. According to the traditional rule, neither is used only to mean “not one or the other of two.” To refer to “none of several,” none is preferred: None (not neither) of the three opposition candidates would make a better president than the incumbent.

heh, its like I said, up north, we dont have cracked dashes... we have rust. Pick your poison. Somewhere in this country has to be a veeeery fine line where there is neither. Maybe around the south carolina line?
