Yeah, Chad is a leech :pI'llo be there, today I ahda few guys ask me about my car......"dude, you gonna put an sr in it?" was probably the most popular statment to me right after "that sounds mean dude, you got an sr?"

...

oh well. Saw some good cars there today, a guy from marrietta, I forget his name, has a nice modified yellow supra with the liscence plate "V8haha"

love that,

on the drifting part, ernie fixmer is a good guy, looked great on the track, so did his teamate ken gushi. Rhys(sp?) millen probalby looked the best, and definately had the best practice pass of the day, so my picsk are millen and fixmer or gushi in the finals...we'll see...

one problem: whoever is annoucning this event blows, the guy kept claling the 1st gen rx-7's "Old Z's!, look at this, old Z(was an black rx7) and new Z(silver 350z) going at it!"

the guy just wouldnt stop, and aslo..apparently he thinks 240sx came right had drive...which thy dont, and thinks the codes are different for silva versus, say s14...(even if the steering coumn is on the right..)

good time though, plenty of rice, so be warned...LOTS of riced out "wanna be" drift cars..lots of 240's with big spoilers and pep-boyz mufflers hanging out...*sigh*

anyways! thats your event update :D-chet

Yo, What up people.

AZHitman Defanetly came through with the 2-day Media Ticket. Thanks man.

I took 135 pictures. Still got tons left for tomorrow. I will be taking a video cam aswell.(Nice write up coming soon.)

The event was pretty good. The 2nd round racers were pretty crapy except for the black s14 and the white s13(coupe). Both of those guys did bad a$$ for some amaturs(sp).

Any ways the pros were f$#ken bad a$$.The two vipers and the GTO were insane. All the cars were great. I got to talk to most of the drifters. Took pictures with them and everything. I had lots of fun.

The touring race was nice aswell.

Guys, I be up there around 2:30p.m. I am going to church so I cant make it any earlier. Besides I wont be missing anything besides the last round of qualifying.

***Camel Ill give you a call when I get there so we can meet up. One small Idea you should let people know about our gathering on the 15TH and maybe collect some cash.***

Talk to you guys later

****One more thing. The car is running beautiful. It was the CAS. The sr20det's are so persice. I love it.****

Note: Im not taking it to the event. I saw a lot of snoopers. In the parking lot when I was leaving. Becareful about taking your pride and joy to these events if you dont have a secure parking spot. Just my 2 cents.

i wanted taka to win. but once he was eliminated, i was all about sam and his viper. that guy is a monster.

actually i was routing for alex pfeifer and his turbo corolla against the viper. but AFTER that, i was all about the viper

I'm personally a big fan of ernie fixmer....but thats probalby because I've met him and correspond over e-mail sometimes..

its too bad both the rotora guys(gushi and fixmer) did better in exhibition than the actual competition

I cant root for a car thats worth 2x and has more than 3x the displacement of every car it competes against...-chet

i know what you mean, i wanted the corollas to finish 1, 2, and 3.

but it takes a lot to control that much power like that. i think he deserves the win.

The viper was by far the best contender in the event. You just cant mess with that kind of power. I'm sure there were better drivers. Thought it was funny that the corolla almost took him out of the contest though. Got a nice pic of the three judges going in circles with the good ole American flag waving through the smoke.

Im sure I saw a bunch of you guys up there, I was with my buddy in his Srt-4 with the carbon fiber hood. <<hard to miss

Yeah yeah, I know its just a neon, but I actually have found respect for it (low 13s in the 1/4)

The event was awesome. I had a blast. I have to agree that I just couldn't root for the viper. I wanted one of the corollas to win.

Chad and Chet.... good to meet you guys. Chad, did you get your pics developed yet?

Hopefully I'll see you guys on the 15th.

Here is the best shot in my opinion. Notice the cars are in perfect focus and moving like cats out of doraville. The rest of the surrounding area is blurred showing great motion in the shot. This happened becuase i used 400 speed film and tracked the camera with the cars when i took the shot. So it looked like the cars were dead still and everything else was moving. I have 146 pictures (125 meg). If some one wants to host it, i'll upload it to you.

Here is the shot:

The full size shot is in the photopost section, in my gallery. It is large enough to do a desktop background.

No worries. I will post directions for everyone a few days before. If you want to know now, just check the park link and get directions from there.

BTW- Are you going to MPEG that video you did on Sunday?
