Guys, I need some help.

My car wont start. I put in the turbo on saturday(Big 28) and I havent been able to get it started. I checked starter and wires, igniter wires, oxygen sensor, intake wires, coils, and put in a brand new battery. The damb thing still wont start.

The guy who put in my engine is trying to get out to me, but he's really busy with the drift event coming up on saturday.

Heres the deal I need someone who knows about wiring the sr20det. The car worked fine before I put the turbo in. I need it fixed today!

I hate to be so blunt but my girl comes in from Cali tomorrow and I would love to have my car be with me to pick her up from the airport.

I am willing to pay money to the person who fixes the car.

I live in Lawrenceville, Ga.- Close to AMC Colonial 18 Movie theaters.

I will give better instructions for the person coming.

Please call me, I will be @ work all day untill 9:30 so you will have to come while my family is here. Or wait till tonigh to fix it.

Did Sam from tiger racing put in ur motor for you by any chance. does the car cranck at all, try checking your timing and look for any vacum leaks.

just retrace your steps.... what did you mess with to do the turbo? go back over everything you touched and everything near something you touched.

did you have to release fuel pressure, then forgot to replace the fuse or anything like that

what does it do? does it just click when you turn the key, does it turn, but just not catch?

I once spent 2 hours trying to figure out why my car wouldn't start, checked every fuse, every relay, tried to jump it, basically went all over the electrical system....turns out the ground cable for the trunk-mounted battery had corroded. I changed the grounding point, greased it all up with that silicon dielectric grease, and it started right up. Just check all the simple stuff, especially stuff you assume is good. you never know what it could be.

i think he has a problem with the cam angle sensor. is there any sort of adjustment that anyone knows about for when you install it?

Ok.

Here goes.

*I checked the ECU just to make sure that any plugs were unplugged. Everything looks good.

*I checked power going to the fuel pump. A. O. K. there,

*I checked compression. I got 120 on all of them. Exactlly 120. I think thats the amount that I need.

*I also checked any loose wires all morning. I found that there is a red(thick) wire coming out next to the trans. I believe it is a negative wire. I hooked it up. Still no start.

*I also checked the Cam angle sensor. I was told by a friend(TheSnail) that the angle needs to be upright. I had it angled to the left. He told me to move it side to side real slowly while someone was turning the ignition. I tried that still doesnt start.

**I just checked the fuses. I found that the alternater fuse is busted. I will replace it in the morning.

Question: Would the car not start if the fuse for the alternater was busted.

OK. Guys just a small update. The CAS Is O.K. I ligned it up and evrything. We shal see if the car starts with the new fuse in the morning.

It could be the fuse but I'm thinking that it's something else. Cause the car should be able to start with out the alternator working. I know the S13 I bought started with out an alternator on the car at all. But it drains the battery really fast. Did you make sure all your ground wires were on tight? How long has the car been sitting since it was last started up?
