Justin, thanks for noticing. I couldn't do much at the time that I donated, but once I get my tax returns, I plan on making a healthy donation to the organization. I'd like to see Dee's car too! Once I get mine in reasonable shape I'll have to go down and race him!

just make some preparations for his visit. find a sentra identical to yours and put a massive jet engine in it. that should provide for a pretty priceless look on his face when you cruise by him at the 21st car marker going 400mph.

so what kind of price tag are we looking at for one of these motorsets you have coming in? i'm on the market for one in a couple weeks, but i'm willing to wait if the price is right. i'd rather spend less on the engine and have some cash left over for suspension parts. i've talked to you before about a CA, mainly on that dead forum where i go by 93blackser. PM me and maybe we can work things out and i can get a motorset off your next shipment.

I've decided when I get rid of my truck and my hatch, I'm gonna have a CA powered S13 coupe with one of Dee's engines. It'll be my project fun car while my driver will be an R32 GT-R.

After 2 years of changing my mind and hashing and hahhing I finally figured out what I want and what I need. :D

Took me freaking long enough geez.

Hey Justin, I'm putting an engine together for '240 Trainee' and I know he will love it because the only thing he have to do is enjoy it, less the wondering and worrying about what's going to go bad. So whenever you're ready, holla.......

I'm looking at about 250-300rwhp as my goal. But I'm not going to go cheap on parts I want to make sure that workhorse is taken care of. I'll do the SDS and whatever else you'll approve of. I'm in the middle of doing research on nico right now in the CA section then I'll pm u when I'm ready with a list to see what u think.

I don't care if your Sentra walks over my silvia or not. I just want to enjoy the girl for what she was intended for. :D

The sentra is not that bad@rse, but she can hold her own when the time comes to most any other. If you take heed to some of the tings I say, I think you'll reach your goal and enjoy your car. Having 300+whp at your disposal everyday is a real treat; especially on pump gas.

Well the high horsepower #'s I'd rather have in the GT-R if I do get that. Seeing as how it's a heavier car, has the AWD system, and the 2.6litre, seems like it would be more built for high #'s.

The 240 would be my highway/AutoX car. :D

But if I don't do the GT-R, that could change...

Hey D, when are you taking the sentra out to the track? You'll have to let me know what times she gets ok?

This will be the last time this car runs the 1320, unless my girl is gonna drive because as long as I have posession of this car, I'll never finish the other one.

boost_boy wrote:Do you mean cars that have them are slow? All the ones I've seen are slow as well. drumma022's S14 used to have a pretty mean CA18, but he went to an SR20 and is now selling his motor. Hell, most stock SRs and RBs aren't that fast either. There aren't that many CA18 powered cars here in the U.S. that are fully developed for ball-out performance and most of that is due to people not having the money to upgrade or is just satisfied with what they have. Come to Miami and I'll show you a CA18 powered car that isn't slow by a long shot.

Dee

well thats the thing, im sure a CA can be fast but you need a bit of money to upgrade it to the point where it will be running 13's (thats all i really wanna run) and by no means am i saying an SR is fast out of the box but from what i have seen its easyer to get it into the 13's then a CA (cheaper anyways)

Sup everyone, this is my first post here.

I have a 91 nissan Stanza, I'm looking for preferably a FWD CA18DET. I need some info on prices/availability for that and also a FWD SR20DET if possible. Financially, I have $300 in the bank, soon to be $450 in a couple weeks, and I should have well over $1500 by October, and I am serious about buying a motor.

I happen to have an extra motor with intercooler on top chillin, but it has no harness nor ecu.

Quote »hey d whats the scoop howd it all go?
I learned that I stink at drag racing and launching, but that my sentra is sick as hell on the highway. I killed the throw-out bearing on my 4th run and during my best lauch. The video of that launch looked promising until I couldn't select another gear "Fun day over":( Drive home 99miles in 4th gear.

Quote »how much for the engine?
If you're looking for just a motor, I can probably squeeze you one for around $750-$850. I won't know the exact price unitl they get here, but shouldn't exceed my quote. Complete motorsets are $1450 and shipping is around $120-$180 depending on your location.
