Haha your right. The only thing that changed since the last run was the obx 4-2-1 header. I know the car is faster because of the different powerband with s13 cams. (I lost to a new ion. The supercharged one by maybe half a car from a 3rd gear roll. I shifted 4th at his door and he stopped and didn't want another run ) I'll see if I can arrange something with the dyno shop. I'm not promising anything though.

Do you think that I might be having the same problem as you were even though different years. I believe the engine I have now is from a 90 as well. Thanks
My problem is that my 95 motor came with an autoragic transmission so it still has the auto pilot bushing in. Once thats changed to a manual i'm certain my problems will stop. BUt i've learned to shift around it so you would never know there was a problem.

I wouldn't think that you would have a serious problem. Fixing that bushing would fix a lot of the slipage that you are having so you are losing power at the rear wheels. The Saturn ION redline supercharged puts down 200CHP, and it is front wheel drive so it has much less degradation loss than our rear wheel drive

Meeh there will always be a problem like the clutch not grabbing. BTW you were able to fit the fly wheel with the auto transmission bushing?

The flywheel fit up perfectly idk why but it did. The problem I ran into was getting the manual transmission to mate up with the block. I got the splines aligned but the closest I could get the bell housing to the block was like half an inch to an inch. So I just put a long bolt through the bellhousing and slowly pulled it closer to the block then everything lined up and worked properly so I thought till the 1st drive.

Sorry to be a bother about this transmission situation, but I put an auto 24e engine to my manual 24e transmission and have been hearing all of this talk about the auto trans bushing causing issues. I believe that I used the internals from my manual 24e engine but am not sure if the machinist took out the trans bushing from the crank, and I know that I didn't install the bushing that came with the xtd clutch setup, Could no bushing or the wrong or aged bushing create a type of clutch chatter and just unnatural driveline feel? If so can I fix this by simply pulling the transmission and replacing the bushing without pulling the engine?

I'm not really sure. I know that the auto bushing with my manual transmission is causing my problem.

If the bushing is just the problem then you can just drop the transmission. Id start a new thread with your problem as you will get more replys then just me. This whole thread has been me Bigvinne and neverlift. So a new thread will benefit you and maybe solve your problem quicker
