Man, I haven't got your letter yet. But, I will go ahead and send a set out to you no problem. Perhaps, we looked over it. How did you send it?

ChrisUnderground Motorsports

P.S.- Can you post your address for me and we'll send you a pair of them tomorrow.

It's possible that the envelope was looked over at the office. I'll check my box today to make sure it wasn't just misplaced, etc.

I'll be sending your adapters out today regardless. Sorry!

Hey,

Some guy randomly sent me a Paypal order like two weeks ago for these adapters, but never sent me an email.

Please let me know if you are sending me money, I just found his order today.

We are still taking orders for them, but this is finals week for me, I graduate from college on Saturday.

So, give me til Monday to send them out.

Thanks!

Sorry, that would be me, but your email box rejected my email:

Sorry I didn't post here first, I was too excited at the prospect of 6.5 speakers in my S13 :)

Good luck on your finals and congratulations on your graduation! Where do you attend and what are you majoring in?

And thanks in advance for the brackets.

To the 3 of you who I still owe speaker adapters too,

They have not shipped. I got all the strut tower bars out today from our group buy.

I just back into town last night and didn't get much accomplished. I'm here by myself, so it's hard for me to work with customers at shop, work with internet customers, ship parts, and make parts.

I wish i had that many arms. But, the speaker adapters will go out on Monday. Since we are closed on the weekends, I will be making them tomorrow.

I'll pay to have your stuff 2 Day shipping to you!

Thanks for your patience!

underground i dont know if those pics you posted on page 2 were of your car or not, but may i suggest that mounting the crossovers back behind the speakers may not be such a good idea... they may get wet, or damp at the least, and rust... just a suggestion. dont know what you have actually encountered.

I owe three of you speaker adapters. They are being sent out today. Over the weekend my Great Grandmother died, and I was a paulbearer at her funeral on Wednesday. I just got back into town yesterday.

I am going to refund each of you $10/ apiece for the delay.

I am extremely sorry for the wait, but family is my priority.

Hey.. if I buy the adapters will you throw in some free MB Quarts?! :)

I think it's really cool of you to take your time to do this Chris, it's nice that you took the time to create something we could all use..

I've got 6 1/2s up front.. I cut the plastic up so they would fit, but there are holes and stuff so speaker isnt really "sealed" into the door and is probably why it doesn't sound so great

So now i'm faced with a difficult decision.. I want to buy the adapters you've made, but also need to save up for bushings, shocks, springs.. and a new mountain bike o_O

Someone gimme der winning lotto numbers!

quick question... and also because i dont want to search through 4 pages

anyway, for those who have installed your 6.5 components, did you use your stock grills or the ones that came with the speakers ? and why...

Stock grills on the door panels, because they fit and cover the holes in the door panels. A 6.5" speaker grill wouldn't cover the hole in the panel. You need to try to mount the speaker as low in the new wood panel as you can to allow clearance room for the stock grill, its closer to the speaker at the top than at the bottom. Even then you'll still need to trim off the top mounting tab from the door panel itself.

hey chris, ill send paypal as soon i see a reply to this thread if the deal is still on. I just bought a 240 and im really dissapointed in the audio, he included the alpine head unit and infinity reference 4X6's all around, my 90 thunderbird had the lowest end pioneer headunit and stock (jenson "premium sound" option) 5X7's and they sounded 100 times better :( (actually that setup surprised friends that they were stock speakers) ill be happy if i can at least get my 240 to sound as good as that maybe with a pair of sub-$100 6.5's and maybe a small sub in the hatch.

Not to speak "for" Chris, but his rep here is good and if you haven't gotten a response, try calling him. I'm sure there's a name and number somewhere on his site or NICO.

Hey Man! I'm in Texas right now on business, but I will be back on Wednesday afternoon.

I check my email everyday, but I don't come on the forums typically while traveling. I just happened to notice this post.

If your adapters haven't gone out yet, then I will personally build them on Thursday.

Thanks!

Chris
