UPDATE:

Ok so first the rear suspension is near complete all thats left to do is put the HICAS delete bar on and the LH EDFC motor.

Some pics of the subframe we will put the rest of the suspension on once its installed on the car.

Here is a picture of the EDFC motor installed:
Image
Image

Also notice how messy my interior is from taking all the inside apart to run the EDFC wires ect. Drives me nuts
Image

So as I said the rear suspension still needs to be finished. We will have the rear completely finished this weekend. The only things left to do for the rear suspension is install the Stillen sway bar and Powertrix hicas delete. WAY later I'll install the Powertrix upper rear strut tower bar. I want to refresh my interior before I install it.

The front suspension will be finished once its on the car. The parts that need to be installed on it are as follows:
1. Coilovers
2. EDFC
3. One of the remaining SPL tension rods
4. Stillen sway bars.
5. New OEM tie rods
6. New OEM gear rack dust boot.

Alright moving right along,
Here you will see where I adjusted the turbo oil return lines because they were kind of at a wierd angle so I fixed it and now they are free flowing. :yesnod

I have a question though fella's in this next picture you will see the RH turbo oil feedline notice how it is positioned. I want it to be positioned 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock instead of how its positioned now (8 o'clock to 2 o'clock). But my question is can I simply turn the line or will I have to take the fitting back out of the block then clean it and reapply RTV since the RTV on it is cured.
Image

Lastly,
Entering into this build I didn't have a very large amount of tools mainly just the basic stuff with a couple ratcheting wrenches and a hefty supply of various 10mm tools. Majority of my tools are Craftsman because I believe in quality, just buy it once and be done.

However my roll cart is a Harbor Freight special hehe. I probably would have bought a Craftsman but they didn't have the style I wanted so I said ef it and I bought the Harbor freight cart. I also figured that it is just a tool cart and I know how to weld so if something happens I'll just "jerry rig" it since after all its just a tool cart. :chuckle: Once I have my own house with a shop in the back I'll get a fancy tool cart - until then this one will work fine.

Also one of the guys that work for us has the same exact cart and he has been using it here for about 6 years :yesnod .

Pics of the roll cart:

Of course I had to decorate the cart a little bit hehe.

Questions/comments ? Also does anyone have a suggestion about the turbo oil feed line.

Thanks guys,
-Mark :bigthumb:

Looking good brother! tell me you're going to clean up some in those fender wells and hit it with some spray can semi gloss at least

I'm heading to louisiana in November, I'm going to want the full tour and maybe it'll be rolling then? :bigthumb:

Yes that sounds good she should be running by November. yesnod

No need to paint/clear the fender wells they clean up good when my car is moving hehe. My car has been sitting since October 2011 so everything except the interior is very dusty.

Can't wait to clean her up.

I still have to route turbo coolant lines, fuel lines, install upper timing covers then its ready to be bolted onto the subframe and then bolt the trans ect... Lift the subframe back into the car. :D

This is probably going to sound incredibly stupid, but I JUST joined this site, no more than a few hours ago. I'm very interested in your build, but I can't figure out how to follow/subscribe to it. :frown: Is there a button to 'follow' it, or do I just visit periodically? Sorry for being so oblivious. Love the build though!
