Hey guys, my s14 is purple. Need to get rid of that color.

Since this dude is so excited about primer color, I would like to know what it is. I know the rattle can paint job performed by SCC looks pretty good. Is primer flat color?

What do you want to know about the kit?

What about the big T28 nils? I've heard good things about that turbo.

The Apex'i AX5360 turbo boosts just as quick as stock according to the chart on takakaira. This turbo also has a lower charged air temp then average turbos of the same spec because of its turbine clearance of almost zero reduces recirulating charged air. This turbo is rather popular for drifters in Japan because of its spool time and power capabilities.

Ebay has a used one for 1050(just turbo). Takakaira has them for 1664(with all fittings and hardware).

Take one look at my mod list.. I'm not too interested in "legalities." Notice the lack of a front license plate also (knocks on wood). I don't care about the 3rd brake light, I think it looks terrible, so it goes bye bye.

Well Nils I am late to jump on but I really like the look of your car with those wheels. I am going for Volk TE-37s in bronze. I am looking at 245s in the rear. Those 255s look great they fill up those huge fenders nicely. Again it looks great.:D

I'm down with the primer. Me and my dad built a hotrod a couple years ago and painted it flat primer black. It looks wicked. Plus, nothing feels better than beating the pants of a shiny new Honda or VW etc when your in a primer-beast.

The photo does not show detail very well... if you are standing next to the car you can see imperfections in the paint. It is not even.

yup, that was me =)

if the our (turbo mag.) driver was more used to a high HP turbo car we could have gotten 2nd place, but, for that small of a road course there would have been no way in hell anyone could catch up to Wolf's autocross RX-7.

It was close nonetheless. Only a small difference in some areas. Wolf's had less mod than my s14. It only has coilovers and bars. It's engine mod includes only intercooler and cold air box.

But I think what made that car grip so good is the fact that its front and rear tires are much larger than everyone's rear tires. They were 275 tires on 10 inch rims. Handling must be neutral. The car must be easy to manage at the limit. With such huge tires front and rear and low HP figures.

I do think the 240 would be a serious contender for a tire traction test like that. It definitly should do better on the small road course.

Wolf's overall suspension was set up perfectly for what we were doing, that was the major reason for winning. The huge turbo lag coming from my big snail didnt help either on that small track.

In that test a lighter car with less HP had better chances than a heavier car with more HP. Josh from SCC was actually surprised on how well my car held up throughout the day =)

It would be fun to do it with the 240, kinda sucked that they didnt let us drive our own cars =(

Yeah, I have a pretty big collection of car mags and find myself cracking open that edition time and time again to drool over the two Supra's, black seven and the cosworth.

I think SCC and Car and Driver should have one big car test and include the G-Games, Street Car and Supercar challenge into one big smorgasborg of awesome cars.

It's hard to see any car topping the Lingenfelter Vette but a single turbo Supra or maybe RB-powered 240sx would probably give it a run for its money! :D

BTW, kinda disappointed no Supra's showed up for the Car and Driver challenge. Also disappointed by the mostly (if not entirely) stock vehicles that graced the G-Games.

So what is your plan for your s14's suspension???

Any bushings and arms upgrade?? Seriously, I would like to know what the owner of a 1.009G Supra would do to his S14's suspension. I am just eager to know! :pface

Sounds like my set up.Except AGX and WL springs.

It sucks doesn't it that they don't make rear lower control arm bushinsg for S14. The stock ones are good, but it would be better if either ES or WL makes them to completely elimiate slop from the rear suspension.

Are you planning on upgrading the rear toe link, since no one makes bushings for this arm?

Neighbors driveway?

Speaking of neighbors.. that guy across the street from you, when I was leaving your house, I could swear I saw an FMIC on the Escort that was in front of his house, but it didn't really look like an FMIC, hard to describe, not one of those stupid arospeed intakes either. You know anything about it?

And your car does look badass now that it's not on jackstands. should have primered before dropping the engine in though, tsk tsk.

Great looking car!!! Had a few questions...Where is the best place to buy the Cusco cage in the states? What does the rear section look like? I have an Autopower 6 point cage but I hate the door bars. I think I am going to go w/ cusco. In addition, I have been having so much trouble finding a seat/bracket/slider combo that works with an s13. What is your setup and are the brackets side mount? Sorry for all the questions...keep us update on the car!
