That car is amazing... one day, i'll have all that good stuff. I've got a question, though, is the link to that video broken, or is it my computer, i would absolutely love to see/hear your car in action.

Here is a pic that shows you how it looks after you run off the road going 40mph and hitting a big rock.

hey guy, those rims are killer. i would like to check them out but im prob not gonna be able to buy them for like a month. i do live in west chester though (40. min. northeast of philly) so i could drive and pick them up. on second thought, i could prob. sell stuff and get the dough sooner if you like.

the_invisible wrote:Nils, I love your intercooler piping a lot. I have a R34 GT-R V Spec II intercooler and it will be plumbed with custom piping, like yours.

Though, I gotta ask you. Your custom piping seems very long, do you think this will be a problem? Mine will be just as long as yours when it is completed.

Are you using aluminum piping or steel?

Also, I realied that your BOV is mounted close to the Throttle body. I know it is better to mount closer to avoid oil damage and faster response because as soon as the throttle is shut, the excess pressure gets released almost instantly. Nice.

the Invisible,I was just showing this thread to one of my buddies and I realized I never answered your questions.

The length of the IC piping doesnt really concern me. It is no longer than how blitz designed theirs. I just wanted the piping as smooth as possible with NO 90 degree turns. Sure the piping could be shorter, but so far the car responds very fast. I do think that the size of the intercooler is over kill for a t25 on 14psi, but, I got the intercooler and pipes with intentions of one day running a bigger turbo (not too big). So at this moment I am over building the car in hopes of gaining more power down the line. With such a small turbo as the t25, lag is really not a concern for me and what I am used to. The car feels very responsive and the powerband is wide.. this car is amazingly fun to drive.

The piping is steel on the hot side and aluminum on the cold side... for no real reason. My buddy only had steel tubing at the time and had to refab the hot side piping completely, the cold side aluminum piping is refabbed blitz aluminum piping.

Some people believe you should put the bov on the hotside of the fmic and others think it should go on the cold side. I personally have always run the BOV on the cold side of the fmic as close to the TB as possible (on all my cars). Not only is the charged back air released far away from the turbo but it also leaves the big fmic charged with air for the next shift. Ultimatly both ways work eitherway, just two different kind of schools.

BTW - I just installed the HKS rocker arm stoppers for cheap insurance ( I always drive at high RPM's). I also put in a HKS upgraded wastegate actuator. Before the car would spike to 1 bar of boost, then drop down to .5 bar... now the car holds steady at 1bar (14psi), so much fun.. specially in the turns!!

Both were super easy installs... even yo' momma could do it =P

take care,n

Nils,

Thanks a lot. Great f'ing car. Too bad you have to get rid of it. Good luck with everything. Maybe you'll get another chance with a different car once the baby is comfortable.

Thanks.

That's either a cusco or safety 21...can't remember...either way they are the same except safety 21 uses steel and cusco uses chromoly (lighter, but weaker).
