hello and welcome to being a drifter.

i have broken control arms, tc rods, tie rods, and other fun things. it's all in the part of it dude. it's not all fun games and glory.

oh well, intercoolers are easy to get, they cost some money, sell the pipes and make some $$ back. be happy you didn't ruin the frame, fix it up ,and keep going! That's what we dodown here in fl!

Funny thing is that I am not really that serious about drifting, I just drive very aggressive =)

I knew going into this project that parts would break, so I am not surprised that it happened.

I'll get it fixed right away... the wheels gotta 'keep-on' turning ;)

that's the proper attitude. it's just tough when parts are so many times more expensive than they are in japan. it can get discouraging, but you can always get better, so these problems dont' happen anymore ;-)

how exactly did it happen ??

nice car.i want to build my S13 to auto-x, i have little minor things (see sig), but i am having the car painted flat black, the chumps at my bling blingin school say its THE most god aweful thing theyve seen, so do i

Nils, do you have an opinion on Do-Luck products? i am trying to get ahold of a few parts from them thru project D, but im having second thoughts.. any suggestions on their stuff?

A mesh or grill will only protect the fmic from small debris, however, when going 40mph over a 40-50 pound rock it wont protect the fmic... nothing will.

Do Luck products are usually of very good quality, my friend Ken Henderson is installing a complete Do Luck body kit on his jza80, Ken is to say the least a very picky person and would never install or use a product unless it was top notch. I also met and chatted with Do Luck reps at last years SEMA show, very cool people and all their display stuff was awsome... go for it.

I'll never slow down.. I am a driving maniac.

Hey Nils-are you going to enter SCC's ultimate street car challenge? I think you'd have a pretty good chance of winning with that setup. Or is it too late to signup?

I dont think I would win....

My buddy Mani has done the SCC challenge now for 3 years.. it is alot harder than it seems.. I would do horrible on the "grand ma" test or the "show car" test....

I definitly wouldnt win the 1/4 test. I might have a chance on the road course section but beating a Viper would be very hard unless it was a very small and technical track.

I am doing OTC next year instead.. all I care about is road racing anyways =)

Good luck with that. The OTC seems to be the event to do. I hope that they're still doing it, by the time I get my car built to the point where it would be competitive.

.58 for the street.50 for stock setup

Its a complete custom kit, turbo made to custom specs, custom downpipe, custom ex. manifold. made for your goals to your/their specs.

T04R compressor A/R is .70....

wouldnt a .58 a/r exhaust side create a dangerous amount of backpressure?

I dont know about the sr20det.. but on a Supra with a .96a/r and 264 cams it has flown up to 720rwhp.

Damn! sounds like way too much turbo for me! i would like to know how the "Street" (smaller A/R) To4R reacts on a DET. do they have a car with this setup installed?? still, sounds like too much power for anything short of a full out drag car?

Yes, not for people who want only 400hp or a bolt on turbo to keep internals stock, or a cheap turbo.

with an .50 or 58 a/r (exhaust side).. it would have less peak HP but spool alot quicker.

I'm thinking with an .58 you should be able to reach 500-550rwhp

how streetable is the kit though? i understand this turbo will do much more than 400whp, hence you will need a built bottom end to use the power it makes. I guess I'm wondering when does it start to spoolup? I imagine its pretty violent when it does:D

I dont know... I still have alot of exploring to do with the sr20det.

Here is a pic that shows you how it looks after you run off the road going 40mph and hitting a big rock.

=)
