sounds good, i sent him 2 emails waiting to hear back from him.just placed an order for 2 sets of amber flexible l.e.d strips to use for a test fitting. there about 2.4 inches in length and will go where the amber is currently located. adding these to the lights shouldnt add more then 20 to each total so for 420 you get projectors and amber l.e.d strips. tomorrow where going to be measuring for angel eyes

brandonbeeb wrote:just wanted everyone to know that we got spocks lights, he kindly dropped them off tonight, look lke they just came out of the showroom actually lol. how he brought them to me was perfect, all bulbs inside, ballast still attached. basically i just got finished stripping them down, all screws are out, ballasts are off (theres a nice hole when you take them off as they actually seal the headlight unlike most headlights) bulbs are out and headlights have been cleaned so when we put them in the oven it doesnt bake any of the dirt into the lenses. All thats left is to get them apart tomorrow so ill get some pics up shortly and keep everyone updated throughout the day tomorrow
LOL sorry about not cleaning them I religiously clean the car once a week, usually the weekends but as you know I was out of town, so that was about 4 hours of driving into bugs on those lights .

Somehow I'm sure I wont be the only one checking on updates throughout the day today (gotta keep it hidden while my boss is around though).

hey its actually a company, theres 2 of us who do the lights, i do the actual retrofitting and the other guy is the person to see when it comes to wiring or anything electrical. he makes up all the custom harness but also does retrofitting. we started the company about a year and a half ago, before that we did retros on the side as a hobby then we would always get asked about doing other peoples light since they where interested but didnt like the prices that light werkz charges. and eventually it turned into us becoming vendors.

Just a quick update both lights are apart ( the 3.5) are not fun with the factory hid as the rubber butyl they use is like cement so an oven cant be used. anyways its time to start the retro

Hi Brandon,

I know we will need to re-open my headlights when the demon eyes and led strips need to be added, will you be sealing with the same rubber butyl compound or will it be resealed with the compound that is preferred for baking but accomplished the same seal?

fyi...i have the 3.5 non xenon (halogen) housing...and the hard sealant is the same..my break apart in my retro was the same tho...baking did very little...all it really did was give the other parts a lil play so they wouldnt snap when prying the parts open....with mine i decided to redo the housing interior and vacuform a new bezel setup...as well as use projectors for the high beam...for a more unified look..even tho i am running bixenon in the low...i cant wait to see your retrofit!...

every headlight that we retro we reseal it with silicone just incase theres any leaks or we feel that something needs to be adjusted so we can put it back in the oven for faster access. first headlight took about 2 hours to get apart the second one tok half hour, learned a few things after the first one lol. im uploading some new pics in a sec hopefully you guys like

looks like they wont be finished until tomorrow night i have to run a few errands to pick up some items for the projectors. forgot to add that for the next couple orders we can also do colour mods on the projectors on certain models to get a nice purple/blue tint to the cutoff colour.

I have 2 sets of bixenon projectors comming in early next week if anyone is in a hurry to get theres done before the big group buy let me know. can also do them for non factory hid lights as i have a set of d2s bulbs and adapters with factory colour output

Since you can do the non-HID factory lights, would it be helpful at all if we can send you the headlights, balasts, bulbs and projectors? I'm pretty sure I can find all of those things once I have money. I would only need angel/demon eyes and then the fabrication (obviously).

Also, if you color mod the FX bixenons, how much does that affect the cutoff? I've heard a bunch of people complain about color modded FX projectors not having a sharp/clean cutoff at all. I know color modding affects it somewhat, but do you have any input on to what degree?

wow I thought you would of painted the whole piece completely black, I would of told you that, but you left the trim chrome, and wow what a great idea it looks sextacular.

to be honest id prefer to buy the stuff instead of people piecing it together, because then i cant warranty it and dont know where you get it from as i use the same supplier to get all my parts from. although projectors arnt warranty since there all used id still prefer to purchase the parts for you unless you already have them let me know. honestly you wont even notice the difference in light output with the mod done, its so small that its worth it to get a nice colorful cutoff.

to be honest its not worth it to take them apart unless your doing a retrofit, and it advise not to try to take your lights apart unless youve done it before as theres just to many things that can go wrong.
