Wow this is a crazy build! I thought I went through a lot with my RB25 but this is awesome. I'm definitely doing this swap for my next drift set up. I really wanted to do it before but after reading through this I really want to do it now! Sorry to hear about all your hard troubles. I've been there and it sucks but you'll be reunited again. There was a point when I thought I'd never have a project car again but now between a buddy and me we've got 10 240's hahaha.

BTW for some reason I can't pm you (probably because I'm a "new member"...Inever post on here) but I was going to ask about the $10 donation thing cause I'd totally be down.

Thanks Brian. Go to your control panel and click on "Board Preferences" to make sure all of your settings are turned on. Let me know when you get down on the build; I'm always good for help and advice.

Probably just have to have like 10 or 20 posts on the boards. You only have 9 right now. It's all good though. korai9989@yahoo

this was supposed to be a big weekend. i had planned to go north and bring my car down to florida. my ride up lost his car keys on friday and they are still mia. so, the only thing that has changed is that i got a pair of new knock sensors. it was so depressing.

We were able to get the dealership to cut another key. Hopefully we can try again around the 22nd, 23rd. It all depends on if I have the money. I got pulled over on the highway in my girlfriend's Saturn. He said I was doing 85 in the 70, but I know without a doubt that I was doing 69mph. My speedo and my GPS both said 69 and I was just cruising along. Her car shakes pretty bad and is almost unbearable if you go over 70, so I don't. The way their system works down here, you get issued a ticket with a printed fine and due date. If you wish to contest the offense, then you can request a hearing. In the hearing, it is literally his word against mine. I don't have any speeding tickets on my record, but I doubt that's enough to help me out any. The thing is, if you're still found guilty, then you're subject to a $500 fine for court costs. Talk about racketeering. I guess my only real option is just to pay the $129 ticket. It sucks, because I only really need $120 to get the car here.

Hang in there, there will be an update eventually. LOOOONG past due. All I want for Christmas is something that's already mine, lol.

DO NOT JUST PAY THE TICKET. If nothing else, hire an attorney to get it thrown out for you. (He'll get it changed to a faulty speedo ticket or thrown out altogether.) The price you'll pay for that attorney is way less than you'll pay for insurance for the next 3 years.

One of my friends went to court like that for a similar situation, the officer claimed he saw him go through a stop sign (which he didn't, because A) he stopped at the sign, and B) the officer was WAYYYYYY down the street.)

He went to court, pleaded not-guilty, and requested that the officer repeat his testimony after being sworn in again.

Walked out with nothing lol.

Well, I'll see what I can do then. I have a plane ticket to VA for January 6th. Car comes back with me then. So I guess for now, Happy Holidays!

Don't pay it, please.

That just teaches them they can get away with it. If everyone contested tickets, that stuff wouldn't happen.

Go to court. It's almost certain that the car that pulled you over has cameras and other systems that record things like radar readings. If it's your testimony against his and looking bad for you, ask about the cameras and other saved data.

Cops often don't even show for traffic court. Then you get off.

I'll schedule a court date and see what I can do. I sometimes feel like I walked under a ladder or broke a mirror or something. I'm not at all superstitious, but I've really had a stream of misfortunes recently. Hopefully it's all working itself out, but things have been hard.

When I moved to Florida, I had savings, a decent job, everything. Things kind of fell apart. Now, I finished my involvement on one project for work, and in order to start the next project the superintendent has to approve our start. Well, He's been out on vacation this week. So this week I've been waiting around looking for side work and coming up short. I can't afford to miss a paycheck, but it seems I have no choice. To add insult to injury, I somehow picked up a nasty cold that's left me feeling like sh** all this week. I'm still going to VA on January 6th, though.

I never play the lottery, but I decided to and actually won!!! $5.50 here I come!

As others have said, GET A LAWYER!!! I've had zillions of tickets, mostly speeding, some wreckless driving (none of that anymore btw, that was all when I was younger and stupiderer ;) ) Anyway, a friend told me to always fight any ticket you get (except for parking). What you save in insurance will easily pay for the lawyer, and every time it's been true. I once had a cop super pissed at me and wrote me a huge ticket for 5 or 6 infractions, and was threatening to take me to jail. If I had just paid the ticket, it would have been a minimum of 6 months in jail, plus nearly $1K in fee's. I spent $250 on a lawyer and ended up paying about $130 for the ticket. PLUS I didn't go to jail, PLUS my insurance didn't go up.

Fair advice. I'll talk to a lawyer when they go back to work next week.
