Hey Zach your build is super nice. I saw it last night and started reading through all of it and I must say that I love your work. I hope all works out for you because I would love to see this beast complete. Keep your head up and it should all work out.

Thanks Beezy.

Ron, Treadstone is down in Miami, I'm pretty sure. Good try though. I tried Enjuku and Titan today, but no luck.

came across this build while doing research for mine, this is the best build i have seen for this swap period. What happened did you get to keep the car? I have a few questions and i want to know if it is ok to pm you. I have not started work yet i pulled the KA and the VH is in the garage. My biggest concern is the wiring. I checked out the wiring article, but still have questions. I really hope you got to keep the car. All that work and the setbacks you made it through. I'll donate some cash or buy some parts if you build them for me. I was gooing to deend on mazworx, but i dont know.

I just read the whole thread and im amazed with your attention to detail and how thorough you are with the whole build. Props man! I also hoping you didnt have to sell, because that would be a real shame. I've been working on my buddies s13 for the last few weeks and i am now looking into picking one up myself. Anyways, Great job man!

I still have the car, not sold. I am not selling it and I won't. I appreciate the comments and all of the praise. I haven't even seen the car in a little over 6 months now. It's depressing. I'll keep this updated when things happen.

Good to see you still posting. You know anyone with some nice buckets for a cheap price? Only thing left to buy to get my car in a satisfactory condition for the time being..

Yeah, I'm still here, but I keep running into setbacks. Two weeks ago I got mugged at gunpoint and lost my IDs and money. I had to get five staples to hold my scalp together too. The day before yesterday I got into a fender bender with my girlfriend's car and got a citation because her tags were a month out-of-date. I just paid off my Mazda to prevent repossession. I got f*** out of five days of pay. I just gotta save up $350 and the car will be here.

And on that topic:

If anybody sees a gold/champagne-colored, early to mid-2000s Mercury Grand Marquis with Texas license tags and one of the doors was discolored (primer, maybe).

It was Citrus County, Florida which is north of Tampa. I suspect they could be anywhere in that general area. Armed and at large.

There might be a decent reward.

Thanks.

ghettoslide, I would love to reply to your PM but you have your settings set to where I can't send you PMs. I used the Q45 ecu as it is efficient in running the engine and the body of the car. Most components of the body are not associated with the ECU at all. The 240's ECU is useless in this swap.

Sweet, I've never pm'd anyone on this site before. I'll change those settings. All I need to do is decide on what transmission to run and I'm diving in. Thanks for the reply.

I recommend the 300zx. If you can get your hands on the '98+ version you'd be in the money, but the pre-'98 TT transmission is good.

If everybody who viewed this thread donated $1, I'd have this project rolling again and on the circuit in no time. Just throwin' that out there.

On the other hand, this is a track car and will soon have the look to go with it. I think it would be cool if I donated a panel of the car to the names of everyone who donated $10 towards getting it on the track. Feedback?

I'll donate. I've yet to fix my settings for P.M. and I'm on my phone more than the computer. I'll fix those settings in a moment. I have another question. These motors fit tight do you have any bushings in your mounts or is it solid. I want some sort of bushings to dampen vibrations. If there solid I'll go ahead make my own. Mazworx has bushings and xcessives don't. What you end up with? Another question is it just me or our the pics on this thread no longer working?

I made my own mounts that were designed to work with OEM KA mounts. I picked up a set of Urethane mounts that are very stiff, but provide some nice vibration protection. Going the route I chose, I wouldn't change a thing.

If I can get my car soon, I'll pull the mounts and reproduce them if you're interested.

I just created a group buy for my engine mounts. I've redesigned them to make them better and more functional with the xcessive and mazworx adapters.

http://www.speedeastauto.com/groupbuys.html

I set the goal number at 10, but I won't let orders sit around too long.
