A car standing out just equals extra attention... More attention means more tickets, more scratches on your car (jealous people), and more stupid teenagers trying to race you at redlights... If it's nothing but a weekend toy, sure go all out with it, but if you have plans to drive this car around a LOT, I'd make it subtle.

For the most part, this IS just a toy. I want it to be very attractive, and trust me it WILL stand out. (Y'all still don't know what all I have up my sleeve.) As for the color, I want a color that's attractive more than flashy. For example, the Metallic Meteor Gray that Audi offers is one of my favorite automobile colors yet it is so subtle and un-flashy. :P

Qft. :frown:

Honestly, I think black is probably one of the best looking car colors to go with...but keep it mind it is a high maintenance paint color as well. Swirl marks, scratches, dents, and dust/dirt show up very easily.

With the amount of work you are putting into this, I can only assume that you are probably going to be somewhat meticulous about this car (I can't imagine why not lol). If you do pay a lot of attention to detail, then I would say make it easy on yourself and go with the blue (or whatever other colors that appeals to you).

^^^^^ Agreed! I say midnight Blue... but that Audi Grey seems sweet too!

I'd go with the Audi Gray metallic, that is such a beautiful color.

Hey Zach, how the hell did you know how to do the wiring? I'm piecing my build together and I'm not sure what to do about the harness's?

I have finished the engine bay portion of the engine harness... I basically rebuilt it, no modification necessary. The 240 ERH2 harness I have begun modifying; there is a bit of work for that. The ERH also will need work. I can do a little write-up of what all was done when I am in fact finished. I have been working on my wiring for the last few days. It has been a challenge, but things are coming together.

Well, she is going to stick around in my garage here at the house for most of finishing her up.

I got in elbows deep in wiring two nights ago and am working on it as I'm making this post, which means there will be more pictures later tonight or tomorrow to supplement this post. I was fortunate to have some help from my buddy, Josh. We were up until 4am doing this and the progress is exciting.

Well, without further ado...

I also made it to the junk yard yesterday and clipped some connectors so I could replace the ones I have that are broken.

Here are some updated pictures of the wiring in progress, which is a huge job considering all of the extra I'm doing. I'm re-looming and re-taping EVERYTHING. Everything forward of the firewall on the engine harness is done, and looks great. You can see in the second picture that I have incorporated some extra wrap into the harness where it goes near the exhaust manifold. In the third picture you can see the connector for the right side VTC Solenoid that used to extend past the end of the harness. I preferred that it run up from the firewall instead of along the radiator support where it is in the Q45. In the last picture, you can see that I started on the injector harness. It's coming out pretty good; I'm re-labeling each one with the number of it's coordinating cylinder location to prevent any future confusion trying to install it.
