Greg, Ill make it 240 or no 240, tell me when and where?

I have something to say, I am personally a member to both Z ilvia and Nico, Both sites have their up's and down's and I think members of each site getting in a pissing contest with eachother is just stupid. If you dont have anything nice to say, then keep your mouth shut. There is no logical explanation to come on a forum and start a thread just to stir up trouble, no one gains anything from that.

I think California is the only state that has them, but the deli inside Ralphs makes some awesome sandwitches. Their Spicey Italian is delicious. Tommy Pastrami is also very good, but a little on the expensive side.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on sub sandwitches.

Damn, I'm starting to think we should sticky this thread. It's got everything; good eatins, and every time an opposing member opens their mouth they get smacked down so hard they can't even come back with another ignorant remark.

Truth hurts, fellas. Might aswell grab ahold of deeez nuts and enjoy the ride while you can!

Did anyone see the Wayne Brady Dave Chapell?

I dont know why but the scene where Dave is crying on the sidewalk eating a white bread sandwich and Wayne takes it from him is one of the funniest things ever.

^ Yep - I LOL'ed.

My hope is that everyone (yes, even the folks from the "other" forums) will come out to one of the NICOfest meets this year.

I promise you'll have a great time, and I'd like to meet everyone in person...

I may come across like a pompous arse on the 'net, but I guarantee you wouldn't think that if we met.

Greg, I used to think you were in it for the money, that Nico was like the Wal Mart of the Nissan forums. But nah, here as of late this forum and you have all seemed incredibly kickass. Ive never seen a cooler owner of a board , honestly and I have been on plenty of them. Keep it up. You guys can call me a suck up if you want, but theres nothing to suck up for. If any of those other sucky sites want to come out to the nicofest in PA, Ill be there reppin. 100 posts in and im already hooked. Tons of Nico love right here.

Nah, you don't come off as a pompous arse. One of the reasons I went to the Stillen meet was to meet "The Man" himself along with the other niconauts and mods.

Speaking from experience, Greg's very approachable. He can boast all he wants, but has the knowledge/facts to back it up.

Anyway, back on topic...

St. Paul Sammich: 1 tsp. Butter1 Handful of beansproutsSalt1 eggTomato slicesMayoLettuceBread

Sautee the beansprouts in the butter and season with salt. When the sprouts are kinda translucent, add the egg and scramble the two and shape into a patty (a la egg phu young)While you're waiting for the egg to cook through, toast the bread.By the time the bread's done toasting, your beansprout patty should be done. Slap on the mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, add the sprout patty, and you're done.Eat it then go make another one.

That sounds damned delicious. Did you find fresh softshells this time of year, or frozen?

I've got a softshell crab appetizer recipe that I purloined from Patrick O'Connell that I think could work just as easily as a sandwich.

Frozen, almost always frozen, sadly. If you can't find them, buy a case of 12 from a local sushi place. They use 'em in spider rolls.

Here, this group is having a good time discussing whatever might pop into their heads. If you can't handle it, get lost and go conform to locking "off topic" and "stupid newb threads."
I agree. I don't see the problem with having a fun and goofy thread in Gen Chat. This Intarweb thing is Serious Business™, but I think we can take some time to have fun.

Stupid threads about sandwiches and pants are a big part of what makes this a community and not a dry online encyclopedia.

There must be something wrong with me, but I actually like helping out people who are new to the 240SX or cars in general. I'm not a tech guru, but I try to contribute what I can. If someone asks a stupid question (contrary to the tired aphorism there are such things as stupid questions) it's not the end of the world. Is it really so bad to just treat people with respect? I'd rather see a dozen "stupid" posts than one thread where someone is treated like **** just for asking a newb question or not searching.

On a much more serious note, I'm really sad to hear the Subway doesn't have the stamps anymore. I had no idea. My 30 days of mourning will begin right now.

I wouldn't bet on it... I think Greg's still traumatized from the lack of Nico representation at the Stillen Meet.

How do you prepare the soft shell crabs?

Yeah, we still have subway stamps valid here until the end of the financial year (June 30th), but they are no longer being issued, so we have to dig around for all our 1/2 filled cards and add them together to get some free subway goodness.
