...another product of the CA public school system?

Reading Is Fundamental.

If you don't have a worthy retort, don't change the subject. You don't know me, and if you did, you'd shut your manpleaser.

BTW, the "filter" has been fixed since page 3.

For the "reading impaired":
AZhitman wrote:Here's the long and short of it, I'll try to keep it interesting, prepare to be educated:

In assessing some of our search engine results, we noticed that a lot of smaller, less-active forums, with less information, were ranking awfully high for certain terms...

Digging deeper, and doing some research on their stats, revealed that an awful lot of their "link juice" was coming FROM here.

Kind of a case of "a rising tide lifts all boats" (or however that stupid analogy goes).

Certainly not something the other forums can reciprocate, so we figured, "Why let them mooch off our traffic and standings?"

It's interesting how we have a rep for being the "n00b" forum... 240sx.org celebrates its 10th birthday this year (yep, 10 years running), and 240sxTech.com has more tech info than 90% of the small boards out there.... Then again, people throw a tantrum if they're not "spoon-fed", so perhaps that's where the perception comes from.

At any rate, I hope that clears up some misconceptions for you guys.

Sounds good. When I don't feel like eating Subway, Firehouse, or Quizno's, I usually make my own sandwich. It usually consists of roast beef (which I buy from the deli section in the store...but I re-cook it in Worcestshire sauce, BBQ sauce, Louisiana hot sauce and some other seasoning) I usually buy some Italian bread, scoop out some of the innings, place some cheese (usually mozarella or cheddar...whatever I have) I heat the bread in the microwave for a few so the cheese melts. Then I get some lettuce, green peppers, pickles, banana peppers and some ranch dressing and add that to the bread. If the hot sauce wasn't enough, I usually add some more. Fill up a nice tall glass of pepsi w/ice and voila.

After that is a nice big bowl of Haagen Daaz ice cream. It's Der Shiza!

I make a mean BLT and Pizza sandwich also I have to try Sonic one day. Their stuff looks really good.

Haha it'll probably get cold by the time it reaches AZ

Actually, it really isn't a lot of work. I can get it done in less than 30min. I just lay out everything I need in advance and then I work from there.

Cause Greg doesnt care about Z ilvia ***holes. I think it's quite funny. I like Z ilvia just because of the funny factor. But its not really a post-friendly place.

BTW has anybody been to Portillos in the Chicago area. I think its that place is awesome.

Nah, it's not hate.

Check the first post - it's a cry for help.

I *do* want to apologize to silmaster - I was unnecessarily harsh on him, and I owe him an apology. He was misguided, and it happens to the best of us. I hope he sticks around, he's got a sense of humor (and some guts).

Gotta get back on my "high horse" now. Wish this damn thing had more "horse"power.

There's a Portillo's here in SoCal. I've only had their roast beef sandwich. Forgot what it's called but it was on a croissant roll instead of regular bread. Goood stuff. I can only imagine how good it is in Chi-town.

Here's the deal, since you haven't a clue. Make sure to read carefully, or have your parents read it to you:

I made it VERY clear why we're no longer allowing the linking. It has NOTHING to do with preventing people from knowing there are other forums out there - that would be silly. If you'd go back and READ, you'd see the reasoning behind it.

There's no sense in letting smaller sites ride our nuts to the top of the rankings, especially since there's nothing they can offer us in return. Read up on the topic of SEO, it's an interesting field.

If it were about the money, we'd have TextLink ads all over the place. Those make a grip of cash. Our monthly hosting fees alone cost more than that entire site costs to run for a year.

If it were about the money, we'd charge a membership fee. Think about it, genius.

If it were about the money, I wouldn't drop $3000-$6000 EVERY time we do a National event. Tent rentals, food, sodas, ice, coolers, grille, giveaways, models, posters, shirts, stickers, tagging cards, etc. etc. Think about it.

If it were about the money, I wouldn't drop a paying sponsor the INSTANT someone had an issue with non-delivery or poor customer service. Think about it.

If it were about the money, I'd make the contents of this site viewable to registered members ONLY, just to boost our numbers.

Whatcha got?

How's this sound? If you don't like the way we do things, bon voyage.

If you don't like to hear that we have a certain number of members, then don't read here. If you don't like seeing "NICO pride", then stay away. If you don't like seeing our members get featured in magazines, don't read them. If you don't like seeing our logo on race cars and drift cars, and you don't want to see our members having a blast at a National meet, don't watch TV.

No one's forcing you to be here, and for some wet-behind-the-ears kid to call ME immature is a freaking riot.

I'm old enough to be your Daddy, and when you can manage what I manage, you can lip off.

Until then, STFU.

I'll leave your post up so you can re-read the thread and figure out why you'd post something so retarded. Hopefully you're just having a bad day.

I think I can safely say silmaster has redeemed himself. Pretty shallow thing to start, but after talking with him a little on Z ilvia he seems to be a pretty good guy.. He even quoted me in his sig.. I feel honored.

Now.. Back to the sammiches.. 30 minutes is WAY too long.. I'm like Greg.. I don't like to toast the bread because it just takes too damn long!

LENNY'S SUB SHOP- "Hole-in-the-wall" looks (At leas the one I go to around here), yet very good eats. I don't remember anything about the prices there.
Yea, the prices arnt that bad, but you cant beat subway. Subway is two footlong for $9.99 wich is like $12.56 with tax IIRC. Lenn'y is pretty damn good, they have two sizes, like 8 and 15 inch. Two 8's are like $12. somthin with tax. Not to shabby.

There's a firehouse right down the road, I might have to try it this week.
