By far the best reason to buy a set of these 'risers,' no matter how low you want to go.reference pic for ppl: Pushes the subframe against the real frame more.

Thanks for the extra info on weights, I haven't seen it before in all my trolling, so I didn't know how common it was lol.

The PBM riser is a good idea. I have a hard time understanding why you'd be so low. If you're even 1/2 way concerned about suspension geometry, you wouldn't be going so low. Please take that with a grain of salt.

Reading through the information I found on it, it doesn't seem to be a pressure fit like the SPL unit. You're suppose to use some sort of metal epoxy to install the units. I've issues with that personally, but I don't know how good or bad that is.

Everyone seems to like PBM; I'm just partial to SPL.

All I want is fitment man, I don't care about slamming. Maybe I will someday, but not now.

SPL is a GREAT company I'd never knock them. I absolutely love my stainless lines. I forget what other goodies they have sometimes.

Do what you gotta do.

I have only one goal for this car and that's to track the ever living piss out of it. My focus is proper weight distribution, proper alignment and maintaining as much suspension travel as possible.

If it'll make my little RPF1's look better, even better.

WC are you planning to be so low you'll actually need those spacers? I'm really surprised you didn't get the SPL aluminum bushings. The ES poly stuff is probably just as good really.

i dont have any spacers, just thesehttp://www.phase2motortrend.com/ensusupibus1.html

i went with these cuz they're cheaper then the spl ones and i'm sure they'll be fine for what i need.

No I meant, do you plan to ever lower you car so low you'd actually need those riser?

As stated in my earlier post I think the poly stuff is just fine.

Minor update.

Sold my Battle Version LCAs. Using the OEM arms. I was going to order up some Nismo rear LCAs, but decided working the OEM arms is a better option.

Hopefully EVERYTHING for the suspension should be arriving this week.

PIX!

New poly bushings for the rear LCAs. Sadly Prothane only makes the bushings for the 240sx in riceboy red.

Sentra B12 front LCA ball joints. They can be used on the rear LCAs. They're slightly off. The B12 ball joints are 38.1mm, the original ball joints are 38.05mm. MOOG Part # K9633.

Lisle radiator filler. This thing is f'n great. It pretty much becomes the highest point in your radiator system. Making it very easy to bleed the system. I used it on my old car, it broke. Finally got another one!

I've been ultra tired haven't had much time for stuff. Plus I've been working a rack load of hours. I'll be lucky to get a day off this week.

What I managed:Took apart the OEM uprights. Removed the drum ebrake setup. Removed the hubs. Cleaned all the nuts/bolts. Cleaned up the z32 uprights a bit too. Next up is pulling out the ARP extended wheel studs, and putting in my Nismo extended wheel studs.

Update time.

A majority of the suspension parts arrived. I'm just waiting on the rear lower control arms to come back, should be here tomorrow or on Thursday. The sub frame should be ready on Friday. Lastly, some miscellaneous nuts and bolts. I'm getting ready to tie this thing back together. Early May completion looks very promising. Working out the bugs and fixing leaks is another question.

Enough talk.

Progress bars, front and rear. 27 mm front, 22 mm rear.Front:

Rear:

The main reason I like them is the end link design.

These took nearly a month to get here. But it was well worth the wait. Quality SPL goodies.

Swapped out my chrome toe arms for the black ones. SPL Toe arms.

I had no idea they were this beefy. SPL RUCA's.

Last piece to tie it all togther. SPL traction arms.

I can't wait to drive this eff'n car!

Off to the garage to wire wheel some more parts clean.

More pix here.

Thanks for looking!

You wont' regret it. The hybrid adjuster alone makes these arms worth every penny. A great innovation. I won't be surprised if others copy it soon.

Yeah, I sent Kuah the money early to mid March I think. Either way. I'm very happy with my purchase. It will be worth the wait. WC at the risk of sound like an SPL sales man, buy the SPL units, you won't regret it.

UPDATE TIME!

So I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for the sub frame to be finished. Got it back today. I LOVE IT!

I was going to wire wheel the frame, and then paint it lime green. I spent an hour wire wheeling and said, EFF that. Next day some mechanic friends told me about a custom bike shop 30 mins from my house. I spoke with the guy and told him what I wanted.

He cut the weights off for me (sawzall wouldn't of done crap). He sandblasted the frame, and then powder coated it. The cost was less than half the price I was being quoted by others. Worth every penny.

Pictures:

I'm very glad I went with the lime green!

My rear lower control arms came back too. Again MA-Motorsports did the work.

Next up putting the bushings in; this weekend if I can step away from work. I need to clean up the garage first really. It's a mess from the bushing removal.

More pix here.

Update time!

Bashed in the SPL aluminum bushings. They've been in my freezer for like two weeks.

Not my best work, but nothing that will hurt anything. I was making good progress with my caveman like solution. I ran with it. This IS the worst one, rest are prettier.

Spent the rest of the time cleaning up the garage floor (covered in burnt rubber and grease). I also wire wheeled most of the suspension bolts for the rear.

Here's most of them back in their home.

I wire wheeled the sub frame brackets and I'm painting them a gloss black. I was going to powder coat these as well, but I forgot all about taking these to the guy. Not worth the week delay anyways.

I'm going to take a fuel line bracket that sits above the sub frame and clean it up as well. It looks like some sort of canister is zip tied to it. It's obviously fuel related. The bracket is badly rusted. That's pretty much it, then it's all installing of the parts.

I'm replacing the 4 studs in the rear diff cover as well. Those should be in on Monday. My studs are beat to s***.

I was hoping to make more progress, but the cleaning of all the nuts/bolts took forever!
