Dude i feel for you for real...I'm a fellow military man myself(U.S. Army 21 years of service) I know when you deploy for 18 months or longer you start wondering if your spouse is being good..thank god i have the most wonderful wife in the world(married for 23 years) and she knows if i find out that she cheated on me..off with the head..i will do time for murder. Here in The GA is a different tune..if she is found guilty of cheating she gets NOTHING!!! not even half and also you can beat the crap out of her every first sunday of the month in front of the court house and they can't do JACK!!!.. I wish you the best and just keep pushing forward and keep that S13 rolling...you'll be alright...

Thats becuase 95% of the men in hinesville are broke. And all of the woman want military men.

And you kno just like i know if you lay as much as a finger on that woman the cops will be there in 5 mins flat. If the guards dont make it there before them. Hpd is no joke been locked up there more times than i can count on my fingers and toes, Especially officer palmer he the most crooked of all them, Tehy transfered him to county.

Um, just a thought ... maybe she remains married to you out of FEAR! Seriously though, I wouldn't promote beating a woman unless she's trying to flat out murder you.

Thats true about the men being broke..LMAO..but on the serious note...just move on and and let the courts decide it..thats why i stay in the south. There is no way in hell after being married for less than a year she is going to take my Sh*t..I'm glad i got married in Puerto Rico..she don't get jack if she messed up on me like that in the Island...thats why if i get divorce i have to submit by the courts on the island, so my wife knows that...just let the courts handle it and Good Luck Homey!!!!

Yeah I'm usually not like that, but when the offender is just plain wrong, I come out swinging with facts and science.

Honestly, you're better off just doing a re-spray. There are some members on this forum (as well as a bunch of others) that have done a roll-on rustoleum paint job... they thin it way out with mineral spirits and use rollers and brushes (I think) to get it done... I guess when it's so thinned out, it self levels. Try doing a google search for it, there should be a bunch of results.

I have been through hell and back with my 240... Bad shops, crappy weather, etc... It's a LONG story, but the short of it is, every single time I think my car is going to be drivable, something else happens to yank it out from under me. I have been waiting THREE YEARS for my engine swap to get done! It actually DID get done... 2 times already... But both times, it lasted about a week before another tragedy scrapped it... I'm on my THIRD SR20DET motor and still haven't driven her in over 3 years...

Now that tax returns have come in, I've got her at the shop RIGHT NOW, getting fixed!

I wish you about as much luck as I can spare to give!

There are some pretty good examples here. There's actually a DIY article devoted solely to it here on NICO in the Articles Archive. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Nothing much done lately, just general maintenance amidst a flurry of other projects. I did add a finely tuned vectored accelerometer to the cabin, so I can determine at a glance my relative motion in relation to the orientation of the vehicle itself. Below is a picture of this finely calibrated device.

It took some number crunching, but the formula for calibration is as follows:The Need for the Speed is directly proportional to the Angle of the Dangle.

I've been working on a couple other things too, namely my computers. I have a desktop that is defunct and wiped (courtesy of the ex wife), an e-machine from 1997 that has an 80gig hard drive and vista shoehorned into it, and a POS fairly new ACER with a defunct screen. Apparently Acers aren't impact rated....see earlier posts....So one laptop so old it can't recognize the cable modem, a desktop tower that doesn't believe itself exists, and a laptop that works minus the screen. Mad Scientist takes over and the result is......FRANKENPUTER!

Ive also had another little side project going. It's a tough start, but there are signs of life....

I'll keep everyone posted on all three.

UPDATE:Ok, so since I last posted, I had filed for divorce through WA, she through CA, CA had taken jurisdiction......BUT SHE RESPONDED TO WA!By doing that she acknowledged WA jurisdiction. I have to fly to WA twice now, once for a "settlement conference" which she probably won't be able to attend, and once for the actual trial, which again she probably won't be able to attend.I managed to get my old bank statements, and added up the totals. I was supporting her while I was in Iraq, but I wasn't aware of HOW MUCH.GRAND TOTAL SPENT TO SUPPORT WIFES LIFESTYLE/BOYFRIENDS:

$1....

$15....

$157....

$1577.....

$15770!!! Thats right boys and girls, this is the total amount drawn from my checking account to pay for her rent, phone bills, car payment, credit card debt, utilities, food, gas, lingerie, bar tabs, etc.....not to mention cash withdrawals. This isn't counting the maxed out credit card.

However, this all plays into my favor, as she's pursuing everything through WA as well (support/alimony, retirement check, retirement fund, me taking her debt AND now she wants me to pay for her plane tickets to WA and back and/or attorney fees), because that grand total counts against her.

On one hand, it probably means I'll be giving up the 240. On the other hand, it probably means I'll be giving up the $7000 loan she took out in my name to pay for it.HOOYAH!

Do not fret, boys and girls, if/when it comes to this, I shall procure another. I'm a little to sold on the S13 to give it up entirely.

In other news, I've continued to tinker, repair, fix, upgrade, fiddle, poke at, diagnose, replace, and otherwise mess with the 240 as she stands now. I'm trying to keep the bill as low as possible, as I'm not sure how much longer I'll have this vehicle. So, here goes.

The spoiler on the back. You know, that funky little SE spoiler that seems like its made of hollow plastic or painted foam, soft and crackly to the touch?Wait, what do you mean its not supposed to be soft to the touch?!I found a rust spot on the bottom of the hatch, right underneath the attachment points, and it got the gears to turning.Using basic tools, some swearing, and a grunt or two, I managed to disassociate the spoiler from the hatch.

SO NASTY!

Yes, I did boo-boo a bit and scratch the paint in my efforts. Apparently rust makes and EXCELLENT abrasive! Who knew!

This is what the underside looked like.

Ick.

I'm cleaning it and filling the holes today.

Another problem that has been plaguing me since I got this thing was the heater. Or rather, lack thereof. It does get chilly in the wee hours here, and that's usually when I'm headed to work. With no defrost, or heat of any kind, I'm reduced to wiping the windshield repeatedly with a rag, then having the windows down while I'm bundled up in jacket, gloves, knit cap, scarf, and jacket over my legs. I look like a bum in a car. To those that made the Joe Dirt connnection, it's never more true than those cold mornings.

So I'm poking around in the engine bay, and I come across this:

"What is this?" I think to myself."Why, it's the heater coil hoses looped to bypass the heater coil entirely, and cleverly hidden behind the motor!" I quickly reply.

The reason I have no heat is because "somebody" decided that in addition to the metal chunks in the crank case, the complete lack of oil, the shredded transmission/diff, and the trashed look, the heater needed to be bypassed.

In case you don't believe me, here's some more.

I've painted some more of the car. The nose to the back of the doors is now rattlecan primer black.WAIT! BEFORE YOU BREAK OUT THE FLAMETHROWERS!I have the intention of painting it gloss black, and my buddy with the air compressor is waiting on a part for the compressor motor so we can get started. This whole rattlecan thing is just for practice, fun, and giggles. Besides, it covers the sun rash, scrapes, scratches, etc on the original paint.

That's all for now. Back in a while.

Ok, so. Promised an update of all my projects, so here goes:

computer: still Frankenstein, but working. Picture your laptop with a 21" .19 dp screen. Superwhamadyne hi-def (as far as laptops go)

girl: we'll call her "Susie". Susie and I have been taking it slow, as we both have "ex" baggage. We both acknowledge that we really like each other, but neither of us is ready for a "relationship", so we're just friends with very obvious overtones.I got a call from her tonight. She wanted to call me to let me know that she had met someone.Crap.

More time/money for the car!
