I saw pics of it (i believe) when they introduced it in a thread. I haven't heard of anyone that has installed them yet or taken measurements with them.

Mckinney has a few pics of their mounts on their instruction sheet. Maybe they can post it here. It will be a nice comparison.

If you want I can take some pics of my finished RB25DET/S13 instal with mckinney mounts. I have the car up in the air waiting on an axle for the VLSD, so it would be easy to see them now.

I know you are probably not going with the mckinney mounts, but it may be a nice comparison for when someone else does the Night/tophat mounts.

JohnPowel,With all the crap that went on, getting kicked off NICO, and everything, you still bought the mount kit from NSR? Good luck, and post some picks when you get installed.

I didnt actually buy it, I am installing for another guy who did....the mounts were supposed to be done like 3 weeks ago, but on Monday I was told they are being shipped out so we will see. I am starting the swap this weekend and will let you all know EXACTLY what I think of the Night 7 mounts...good or bad.

I am always willing to give someone another chance, when I am not being fed bull stuff.

Above is a link to pictures I took of the mounts I received from Cameron. I will be taking more of the engine actually installed this weekend when I get to throwing the motor in there. I have to get the bay painted so it may not be til Sunday when I post some pictures. I am getting the engine hoist today so that I can take that old KA engine out and finish sanding the bay. Wish me luck and I hope the pics are helpful.~Andrew~

Andrew good luck with the swap! Make sure to take notes on how much clearance in front and top of the engine. If I remember correctly you should be able to install a strut tower brace with a slight bow to it using the stock intake manifold. Also take note on shifter location. Thanks

Can't wait to see the reviews

Yellow- which mounts are you going with? Is it being shipped or do you already have it?

Good luck!

CAMERON DON'T EVEN WORRY ABOUT IT.... MY CAR DOESN'T MOVE. I'M JUST GOING TO SELL THE MOUNTS, ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.... I HAVE ALL THE IMPORTANT PICTURES ALREADY ANYWAY.

I DROPS THE MOTOR A LITTLE UNDER HALF AN INCH, AND MOVES IT BACK A QUARTER INCH. THE STOCK DUMP PIPE RUBS TO THE POINT WHERE THE WHEEL WILL ONLY DO A QUARTER TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION, THE HOOD SKELETON WILL HIT THE RECIRULATOR VALVE, THE SHIFTER IS 1/4" CLOSER TO THE STOCK LOCATION, AND A SWAYBAR MAY CLEAR IF IT IS BENT UP AND FORWARD.

I'LL BE POSTING THE PICTURES LATER TODAY HOPEFULLY.

That blows. Are you going to go back to using the skyline x-member or go with different mounts?

MY SKYLINE CROSSMEMBER AND MOUNTS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE. IT TOOK US 2 HOURS TO INSTALL THE NIGHT7 MOUNTS ON A LIFT, IT TOOK US 30 MINS TO UNINSTALL THEM AND REINSTALL THE SKYLINE MOUNTS.

SERIOUSLY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THESE MOUNTS GET IN CONTACT WITH MIKE AT TOPHAT. MIKE IS A GREAT GUY AND WAS VERY HELPFUL TO ME AND MY PROBLEMS. THANK YOU MIKE!

I MAY EVENTUALLY GO WITH MCKINNEY MOUNTS SO I CAN USE A CARBONFIBER HOOD BUT I'LL HAVE TO DECIDE THAT DOWN THE ROAD.

BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE 50 MILES (ONE WAY) TO HIS SHOP JUST FOR HIM TO TEAR MY CAR APART AND TAKE PICTURES. I ALSO DON'T LIKE PEOPLE TOUCHING MY CAR OTHER THAN ME AND A SELECT FEW OTHERS. WHEN IT COMES TO AUTO MECHANICS I DON'T REALLY TRUST ALOT OF PEOPLE.

I'M NOT GOING TO BASH ANYONE I JUST WANT TO STATE WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT THESE PRODUCTS. IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS MUCH OF A HASSLE, I WILL PROVIDE HIM WILL ALL OF OUR PICTURES AND IF HE DOESN'T ACCEPT THEM THATS HIS ISSUE.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN THESE MOUNTS I HAVE A SET THAT WAS MOUNTED ONCE AND I'M WILLING TO TAKE A LOSS ON THEM!

HONESTLY.... SHOULD I HAVE TO SPEND MY GAS MONEY DRIVING TO AND FROM THERE AND ALSO CLEAR MY PLANS TO MAKE TIME TO GO DOWN THERE? MY CAR ISN'T EVEN RUNNING RIGHT NOW AS PER OTHER UNFORTUNATE EVENTS BUT IT SHOULD BE DONE THIS WEEKEND.

OK HOW HAVE I CHANGE MY STORY ITS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME. EXCEPT FOR THE DROP ISSUE THATS BECAUSE I FINALLY HAD GOOD LOOK AT THE PICTURES. IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO A PISSING MATCH YOUR STARTING ONE WITH THE WRONG PERSON.

ITS FUNNY THAT THREE WELL EXPERIENCED MECHANICS LOOKED AT THE CAR AND TOOK PART IN THE INSTALL AND ALL SAID THE SAME THING. ANYWAY I HAVE PICTURES AND I WILL POST THEM ON HERE..... CAMERON THERE IS NO NEED FOR A REFUND I'LL JUST SELL THEM. I'VE ALREADY TALKED TO MIKE ABOUT THEM.... AND THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WAS TOLD THEY WILL DO.

MIKE IF YOU COULD POST EXACTLY WHAT THE MOUNTS ARE DESIGNED TO DO IT WOULD BE GREAT.

Quote »Our mount kits allow ease of install of both the RB20DET and RB25DET engines into the US model 240SX using the KA24 x-member, both S13 and S14. RB26DETT kits will be released soon. Kits come with both upper and lower mounts to relocate the engine to where it's supposed to be, as well as a transmission mount so that everything is alligned perfectly. Our mount kit will help you avoid issues such as hood clearance of the stock intake manifold, anti-sway bar clearance, shifter allignment, and O2 housing clearance of the steering column. TELL ME ONE THING I SAID MIKE SAID THAT HE DIDN'T!?

I WONT TAKE THIS TO A PERSONAL LEVEL BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEED I'M JUST TRYING TO POST WHAT THESE MOUNTS DO. AND HOW CAN YOU MOUNT THESE THINGS WRONG? THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY THEY GO ON.

CAMERON DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE

I'll take that as a dissatisfied customer with a negative review. Still interested in what others think. Jon or Andrew?

Why doesn't everybody take pics and compare? Here's an idea- take a straight stick and lay it across the strut towers and place a ruler from the stick to the highest point of the engine and we can all see without the worry of camera angles.
