This thread did go a little overboard. BUT I could've very well owned a TT Z32 (if I didnt have to pick up and cart my lil brother and sis around alot I probably would of had one vs the second 240, but am glad I dont in a way), or a 67' datsun 2000 KA-T powered hehe I will have one, one day :)

there is a 73 240z in the new edition of WHEELS here. that's where everyone tries to sell their cars. i would want that sooo bad. they want 2500 for it. not too shabby. i couldn't tell for sure, but it looks like it has racing stripes or some crap on the sides though..that might turn me off like a girl w/diarrhea.

i would drive a BMW K1200RS or a turbo diesel dually pickup, and i would certainly not drive that ugly bugatti, even if it was free.

i forgot 4x4. i've driven the ford and dodge, and the dodge was almost too quiet. i did this dodge driving thing where they let you take the trucks "off-road" in a parking lot so i couldn't test how fast it was, i drove a 4x4 ford in breckinridge colorado and was told by my uncle, the owner, to "punch it" when accelerating, even though there was snow and ice on the ground.

you can solve the quietness problem with replacing the stock pipes/mufflers with straight pipes. then you can hear the real diesel personality. i kind of like them quiet though.

some family friends of mine got to test drive land rovers/range rovers before buying them a couple months ago. they show you how you can turn 90 degrees at 45mph without tipping over and that kind of stuff. that would be sweet.

Ive been obsessed with supras since i was 14, am still obsessed with supras, and will be obsessed with them untill the day I die....If someone offered me and choice between a supra or a 911 twin turbo, I would pick the supra (both brand new of course 0 miles). Thats how obsessed I am! So...A 1993-1998, royal saphire pearl, twin turbo, 6 speed transmission, targa top is what I would have

:ylsuper

One with this engine in it! Yes thats a 1200hp kit!!!

Well on my way to pick up parts for my vdub I saw the most gorgeous piece of machinery on this side of the atlantic, a Mercedes-Benz SL55 amg edition, man what a car, superchargedv8 engine 500hp stock, rotors the size of my vdubs wheels, a silver metalic paint job that costs as much as the '93 240 I've been saving up for 6months to buy, twin dual exhausts, and one hell of an interior. If it weren't for the dealership guy threatening to call the cops I would have stood there forever staring at this car. I was in love with the CL55 AMG but this one is the shiznit, well maybe if I spend my next paycheck on lottery tickets instead of food and rent...

Can I swap this into my s13 hatchback???

RYNOs_13 wrote:Mid engine cars handle respectably, the problem is that an mr2 is NOT, yes I said it NOT mid engine. Mid engine means that the engine is above and in front of the drive wheels which are in the rear. In an mr2 the engine is above, but slightly behind the drive wheels, leading to improper weight distribution. If you want an mr2 that gets anywhere NEAR true MR performance, find a supercharged 1st gen. Oh, and T-Tops destroy the chassis rigidity smart guy.

like this you mean?

go talk to an owner. ask him to go out and take a look straight from the top. that's what i did. it's forward of the axle.

45/55 distribution, not necessarily a bad thing.

Best car for the money=Dodge Neon SRT-4 With a base of 20G's and 0-60 around 5.5 sec. Can't go wrong with that turbo four cylinder.

This one is Hard...These are the cars I was considering before you schmucks (J/K) made me decide on a 240sx...

In NO particular order:

85.5+ Porsche 944 Turbo91-95 MKIII MR2 Turbo92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Black/Black 5spdSeries 5 FC3S RX7 Turbo IIAE86 Corolla w/Supra 1g motor.S12 200sx w/ca18det

98 Chevy S-10 w/ IROC Z Wheels, white on white, and bagged. I know, I know...

And... I'll admit it too... 88 Pontiac Fiero GT, with ALOT of really really gay **** done to the body, getrag 5spd, and a 383 dropped in it... Could make it look like a ferrari... but I don't have the money for the gas, upkeep, or anything on that. Plus, I hate domestics... and the Fiero is a crappy base with alot of options.

90 Integra GS...Yeah, it's FWD, but I can drop the $15k I've got into it, and it would be a nightmare on the street, and still be comfy. Plus, anything goes wrong... If I can't fix it for free, it would've costed me less than $300 in most cases.... ewww... and I was eyeing that new DART/PAYN B20 Block... grrrr...

I like alot of cars... So I guess the 240sx was a hard sale for me... just too many options, and too good of a platform. Can't wait to get my hands on one. Just have to be patient, and wait for the right one to fall in my lap...

Thanks,Charles WellerHouston, Tx

$265? hahahahaha... nah nah fool... $15 all day long. I know, we've converted many a pre-obd honda to obd-1... easier on a swap, saves us money, gives them more options on the program they choose with their p28... If your in the industry, Honda's are THE CHEAPEST thing to maintain. Hell, I can get a b16a1 for $250 any time of the day or night that I want to. Complete motor, only thing missing is the distributor, that's another $40... but they're a dime a dozen too...

Thanks,Charles Weller
