I dont beat on my car, but I do drive it hard and do track days/drag race....thats what I have it for, dont be a ***** all your life and drive your car (on the track, dont be foolish on the street...this enrages me to no end)white2abbit wrote:i have a '97 kouki with hks hi-power exhaust...but it's otherwise stock...
usually i shift just above 3,000 rpm, as to improve gas mileage, etc....occasionally i'll rev it to 4,500 - 5,000 rpm, but not usually any higher...
do you guys rev it up to redline ever - or often? just trying to gauge how hard you guys drive your car, as i'm a little hesitant in revving high, as to hopefully prolong engine life, yada yada yada...
btw the car has 117,000 km
