Telcoman:

Thanks! I live in the south and so I should not have spin outs as those in the north. Actually, my rear tires are almost gone and i am enjoying getting some burnout during take off. I think I will be keepig my old tires when I replace them. I need them for burnouts and crazy take-offs. I am begining to enjoy the tires spin before I take off at the light---really awesome!

I got the "beep beep beep beep" (car), followed by a string of curses (me) and I had to pull out the fob and hit the unlock button.

Its a functional reason. Check out this thread and the article posted within.

An example is when you're driving in the snow and its really bad, sometimes I drive with just the parking lights at night because I can see the road better...if there are no other cars on the road.

Unfortunately, it is the return spring starting to get weak. My '04 has been doing the same thing occasionally too.

Yeah... tell about it!! lol.

As to the topic,1. Lack of low end torque in the 5AT. (I've been beaten off the line by four cylinders!)2. Oil dipstick location. (Minor annoyance)3. Brake wear. (Inherent in the '03-'04 MY's)4. Tire wear. (I know... it's a SPORTS car)5. Lack of iPod connection.

Other than that, the G is the best, most fun to drive car I have ever owned. I seriously considered a 911 before buying the G, but after reasearching and finding out that owners are spending 3k+ per year just on normal basic upkeep, (not to mention the lack of room for a 6'-4" guy), I opted for the G and never looked back. Aside from the mods, I have spent VERY little money in two years of ownership.

As to the tire wear, I have a friend that has an '03, and was frustrated about buying new tires so often, so he thought he would be smart and change the wheels and tires to the same size on all four corners, allowing him to rotate the tires. It looks terrible now, and I didn't have the heart to tell him that it isn't about being able to rotate the tires. He will still experience rapid inside tread wear because of the suspension set-up!

Everything on my list is really just minor stuff, and there is far less of it on this car than on others I have owned.
I've just discovered the tire wear issue.

As you know I put new tires and wheels on in July. Now the inside edges of the rear tires are almost bald. So now I have the privieledge of shelling out $640 for 2 more rears

Go to the dealership and complain. They might be able to help.

I find them to be incredibly handy. All that stuff used to go above the visor, and when you dropped the visor down...they all fell down.

hahahaahah - I was going to mention that... they drive me nuts. Any time my friends and I go somewhere... I'm like.. "gimme your cards to hold!" - and I point to the upper drive card holder, and flap the passenger visor... lol

Interesting, I never keep any of that stuff in my car anyway. The only thing paper wise that I keep in my car is like insurance and registration. I guess that's why I'm confused why they're there. Doesn't some of that stuff start dangling down into the window?

Well, with toll tickets, you have to put them somewhere until the next toll where you pay up

I just think they are a nice, unobtrusive little feature that is great to have when you need it.

We have a card for entry into my parking garage at work. The card holder is a great place to keep it, and on the passenger side is easily accessible to me from the drivers' seat.

I didn't notice this feature until after I already bought the car, but really like it!

As far as my complaints, all are pretty nit-picky:

1. Gas mileage: I'd feel better averaging in the low 20's than high teens, but an acceptable tradeoff to me for the performance

2. The orange color on the multi-purpose screen hurts my eyes!

3. The center console is very small.

4. The back seat legroom is poor (again, acceptable trade-off to me).

5. For the bluetooth phone (I have premium pckg, no nav), having to use the voice controls for everything, even setting up the phone and entering numbers in the address book. It would be nice to be able to do it with buttons and menus: I like the voice controls for calling, but it is annoying to me for the other things.

6. It is disappointing to not have a better TPMS system in a car of this class, that shows which tire is low rather than just giving a general indication that "one of them is low"

7. A standard, built in radar detector would be nice

That is about it! If I listed all of the things I love about it, the list would be at least 10x longer.

Ah, I don't know how tolls work...we don't have them in MI. The only toll booth in MI is at the Mackinac Bridge and you just pay and go. For the parking stuff, I guess I could see that but for me we have RFID passes for some structures and card access for others, but the ones with card access, you have to use your UM ID, which everyone keeps in their wallet. Now that I know what people use it for, its an interesting feature.

You forgot about ticket bribe money! lol

Someone mentioned the doors on the coupe... it is aggravating that just sitting on level ground, my driver's door will not stay open. Oh yeah... and all the loose change I have lost as a result of the arm rest/storage lid that doesn't stop coins from sliding out the sides!

I am probably going to be in the minority here, but there are a number of things I don't like about my 2004 G35.

The ride is not very luxurious at all. I feel like I am riding in a 10 year old Buick when I am driving down the road. Everything rattles in my car. I've had every little 2004 G35 common problem happen to mine. Driver side window rattling, dash rattles, rear rattles, rear axle torque issues. The paint chips extremely easily. Now the brakes (4 months old) are squeeking horribly. The dealer says they can't do anything about it.

I just do not like the ride at all. I knew I was buying a 3 year old vehicle (at the time), but I expected a better value after reading reviews. The quality of ride has gotten progressively worse in the last year.

I do know that I like the 2007 and 2008 G35. I've had them as loaners the many times my car has been in to work on. I wish every day that I would have just got a new G35 instead of a loaded 3 year old. If I could get 80% back of what I paid for it, I would do it in a heartbeat.

The performance of my G is good overall. It is chipped. But just not a relaxing ride at all. I've had many luxury-make cars. Some older than this one and they all drove nicer. I think it might be something to do with the year.

1) The stereo sucks, I had a better system in my Pontiac G6 for God's sake.2) The car is simply underpowered from the factory, while it runs ok, there is no reason to not have at least 350bhp available. 14 second quarter mile times are unacceptable. This cars straight line performance should stand head and shoulders above others and it just doesn't. When you have to beware of a Pontiac Grand Prix...there is something wrong!

That's about it.

I hate to hear this. How many miles did your car have on it when you bought it? I also bought mine used but it is a 2006 and had around 14K on it. Haven't had any integrity problems at all, silent as a church mouse even on rough roads.

I will say this. You mentioned that the ride is not luxurious. That is very true and the car is often mistaken for a luxury car by people who don't know what a G35 Coupe is. Mine rides like a skate board and I wouldn't have it any other way. They ride very stiff and handle great. I think there are some other great options out there for more of a "middle of the road" performance car, I just don't think this car is middle of the road where ride is concerned (for straight line performance yes). I am making the assumption that you have a coupe, if you have a sedan...scratch my opinions, it should ride very nice compared to the coupe.

I think I would be looking to off your car if it is this bad. Sure hope it doesn't spoil you from another Infiniti.
