I am surprised that this service is not included in the 60K service which I paid $699.99, got hooked up with a 15% discount ($624.81 tax included) at Beshoff Infiniti in San Jose, CA.
I declined the ATF service, picked up 2QT at Frontier Nissan Dealership (Capitol Expressway San Jose, CA) right across from my office at $10.99 per Quart which is cheaper than Beshoff Infiniti $12.99 per Quart.
Will replace the fluid myself and save over 100 bucks!

For anyone who wants to pick up the ATF Nissan Matic-S P/N 999MP-MTS00P or see pic below

Yeah beshoff is a good dealership but some of their service cost are a little high. Where do you work ? I know a local guy who does really good work at a reasonable price in this area (I live near the frontier Nissan dealership). Pm me as my pm'ing abilities are still not available.

The only thing I am planning to get done at the dealership is Transmission Drain and Replace service.

PM sent glad to know that there is other M owners in this area on this forum.
I'm probably the only white M that you'll see up and down Capitol Expressway :woot:
As I mentioned before, not many M around here (mostly older folks), I'm 28.

No idea if transmission fluid works as well. I didn't want to risk it.

The camera is focused at the street pavement and detailing all its cracks and holes. Maybe try and mount it higher so it will focus on license plates of other cars.

No prob!!! .... that M5 has the special exhaust set up....I love the rev-match sound, though.... the normal driving would be too much....The turbos on the M5 makes a 'cut off ' sound to the exhaust... not a fan of this M5's sound...I'll take the V-10 M5 instead (sounds like Formula 1)

Installed the INJEN CAI and wrapped the side mirror covers....

did a lot yesterday and today….noticed that the driver side valve cover started to leak oil so swapped out the old with a nice new one….I'm at 140K miles on the car so it was time....

….installed the Injen CAI, pretty straight forward…just removed the stock airbox and replaced with the CAI….didn’t need to remove the bumper or fender liner. more space in the engine bay and the polished CAI matches the polished plenum and throttle body…

next….I got the side mirror covers wrapped in gloss black vinyl…..I’m really happy how they came out….

Took it to carmax to have a few things worked on and got a crappy Dodge Charger as a loaner. What a pile.

Today, replaced the case transfer fluid in my 37x, super easy job with the right tools. The car takes 2.1 pints, good thing I had 2 Qt of Nissan Matic S as I have spilled a lot on the garage floor
Next will do the differentials.

Alright I was bored this weekend and decided to mess around with some plasti-dip. I dipped my grill white, very disappointed as it does NOT look good!
I will be re-dipping the grill black but adding some glossifier this time, just ordered a can.

Over the weekend I got my first parts adventure with my 2003 M45. I ordered LED lights for the interior dome lights and door lights since for some reason the previous owner took the bulbs out. I started in the back and everything was going fine till I went to replace the lights in the overhead console in the front. The bulbs are nothing like what was listed for them (3175). The back lights were the old school fuse looking lights with a filament tube the front ones are a traditional bulb type (57). After a trip to two parts stores where they insisted that the correct bulb was the one I ordered I went to the local Infiniti dealership and they found the correct bulb, but of course they didn't have LED ones or even 2 bulbs. I took the one bulb they gave me back to the regular parts store and now that I had a bulb compared it to the ones on the shelf. It turns out the overhead lights in the front are type 57. hope this helps anyone stuck trying to find the right bulbs. Now to order LED's for the outside lights

Absolutely right about the incorrect size of the dome bulb. I ended up ordering this from Amazon and so happy with the results and the light color. It is pure while, no yellow, no blue and it is strong enough.

Finally got around to replacing my hood struts with the 110lb ones from advanced auto. Hood opens very good now. I also adjusted the dampers up front to half way (18 clicks) from being at almost full stiff 30 clicks out of 36. The ride is very smooth now with a little more body roll on the turns. The only down side is having to adjust the rears is a pain. I might go softer just to see how smooth it'll be on the bumpy roads around here.

I cleaned the grill scuffed it with a super fine scuff pad, alcohol wiped, etching primer ( 3 coats), and then Duplicolor Perfect Match (3 coats). Was going to clear coat but I like it the with the sheen it has now

Yesterday i raised my car up 0.8"! Set the D2s to 20 at all 4 corners and the cars height and drive is like a dream compared to lowered. TBH i hated the rough bouncy feeling especially on our city streets. Of course the gap is back but with the 20mm spacers it still looks great. Need an alignment now.
