I had the top of the tire at the same height as the bottom of the fender lip. My D2s were at 30 all four.

I was at 26 all fours then 36 for s*** and giggles then dropped to 30 all fours. I found that setting them the same was best for the X. Our streets are never going to be fixed and at the height I was at setting it any lower than 30 I was bottoming out not because the suspension was bad but because our streets are bad. Just picture driving home daily and having two choices. Sit in 1.5 hour highway traffic to drive on smooth roads or driving on city streets where traffic drives around 45mph but the roads buck you around. The worst is if you hit a section that causes your car to dip and right in the middle is a raised manhole so whack you hit the shield as the car comes down. A few times I thought my front axle was slammed. There's no winning there. I think my next car will be the maurader.

Damn how was the 36 all around? With the softer setting are you saying there is an increase in the up and down travel, enough to make the car bottom out slightly? I dont know how the D2 co's are since I have bags but when I make it softer I havent noticed that much of a difference in how much the suspension travels. It def. is smoother and I would like to go less than 18 to see how much smoother it can get.

Hey LOODA I also have an 06. I really like that grill. I was wondering if there was anything special you need to make it fit right?

I made another slot were the arrow points 08 grille so the slots would fit and extended the outer slot aswell. once u have the grille on hand you can see were they need to be and mark the spots.I currently dont have the grille on my car cuz im painting it.
Here is what its gonna look like

half way threw spraying the red. the black that came on the grille bubbled rite of the left side. Very upsetting waiste off material. So im completely stripping it and waiting for my signal mirrors to come so i can paint together. will post after it gets done. Hope the pics help.

I wasn't bottoming out but there was enough movement that I would hit my under carriage on uneven road obstacles. I even tried full soft 0 on the front and there was too much. Even at fully raised it felt unsafe. A good medium setting for terrible roads was always 20 but with the car raised to give it the extra clearance necessary. Yesterday I drove over speed bumps at normal speed! It was a good feeling. 36 was brain rattling lol. My seat became the suspension and I recon its more expensive to replace than the suspension. As I said earlier its our city streets. I think we're at the point where an SUV is more practical than car. Heck gravel roads would be better.

That is actually an upper 08-10 sport M35 bumper and the lower section is from a Y51 2011-up M56 sport bumper blended both together.

Correct ^ full custom job. It is not the sport it's the next step up they call it the aero package. I did it so it sat a little lower then the sport bumper. Been having this bumper for a year and a half now just finally got time to finish it up.

I'm sure this is a first. Another reason I'm glad it's finally done was always worried someone would beat me to it cause I was taking so long.

Simple mod but worked out great. Plasti dipped the front and left the emblem chrome to match the other chrome aspects of the car and also plasti dipped the rims black. Love it just the way it is right now.

I removed my pinstriping. After trying every possible chemical to remove the pinstripes(even oven cleaner yikes!)...I just said, "f*** it" and I busted out 2000grit and wet sanded the stripe off. Followed by buffing with polishing compound and then meguairs mirror glaze yellow wax.

Love it. Looks like its mine and not some old retiree's.

I couldn't agree more. Pinsripes are for chevys, fords and other cheap made cars. They match the trashy plastic interiors. However, if you look at Freddie's M, he made a graphic that is absolutely brilliant! It is wider than a pinstripe and only covers from the about the front door back to the rear side window hugging the curve of the ear window moulding.

Thanks CPJ. I did add the front lip spoiler. I never thought of painting the hood grille piece the same color. Do you have any pics you post to see what it looks like?

The front lip looks brilliant, mate. I've seen many brands on Ebay but one can never be sure about quality there. What brand did you buy and where did you get it please? Also, is it installed with 3M tape or with gromets / screws?

here's what I could find....I think it really changed the look once I color matched the front hood piece.

I’ve tried a few looks for the front hood piece…here’s some pix.

I also did the 08 front bumper swap, so the single hood piece that is painted the same color as the car really keeps the lines/flow smooth.
