Teh Coupe Killaz. Drivin' it like you left your blinker on and cant read the road signs!

I've always had an affinity for the Regal, especially the Joseph Abboud version of the GS.

I guess this means I'm on my own with q45.org. The blind leading the ignorant through a maze in the dark!

Sniff...sniff.

Does anyone else smell a faint hint of bologna?

No, it's not Jes' veal, I'm pretty sure it's bologna.

I seem to remember a hose quite similar.

I thought it might have been BS too, but then I thought about how his family top to bottom and left to right drives all GM. His parents have a Pontiac GTP and suburban, grandparents have a Caddy. It all makes sense. Seems like the dealer would practically give them a two year old Regal for all their business.

Plus, Wes doesnt seem to have a sneaky subversive side to him -- hes a straight shooter. Or is that what he wants us to think for this masterfully crafted prank?

Sorry, just conjuring conspiracies. Nice Buick.

Bottom line it is a nice sized car compared to the Q, it is pretty new, and it has 19k miles. And the leather isnt ripped.

Heavy....called this one. No way. If I had the patience, I bet I could find this pic posted on ebay somewhere.

And if it is true....well then I just read the last C&D where they talk about the avg buyer age is 64 and that they were going to try to go for a younger generation....mid 50's. I think that Wes might skew the marketing teams data just a little.

No way, this is for real....

When the Q gets back home (or when it goes to the dealership), I will have proof pictures of me standing next to the buick AND the Q....

Im still trying to find a nice comfortable position. These seats really hold you in place, and they move to so many different positions, its hard to find the right one... WIth the Q your options were limited, plus being tall the telescoping wheel REALLY helped...

All in all, its not a Q by any stretch of the imagination, but its however a nice, smooth comfy car, adequate power, GOOD gas mileage, and has a warranty!!! Plus, I can look down at the heads from the oil filler cap and see nice shiney clean metal!!! w00t!!!!!

Tomorrow, after school I will get a picture OF myself IN FRONT of the car WITH my NICO shirt on... Jesus why cant you believe me!!!

I took it to work today, and as far as buicks go, its probably the one geared toward the younger people... The GS would have been ideal, but we got a better deal on this one..... We ended up paying about 8500, as it had been sitting on the lot for a wihle and they wanted to move the car...

Plus, my brother goes to school with the general manager of the local buick dealer, and my parents and them are good friends and all... WHen they were aprised of the downfall of the Q, they cut us an extra special deal... This car is alos a bit lighter on insurance, for some reason?

Is it real or not?I remember Jeasda did the exact same thing almost exact same car... as a prank.

And wes has had his eye on a members car (someone else's, before mine)

On the other hand I remember he was talking about driving the Grandparents car for a while ( Buick) and his Dad was reallly resisting another hi mile used car.

So maybe they told him to just keep the Buick?

Fred..

PS: Its nice, much nice than I I ever drove even close to your age.

my guess, wes is pulling a fast one on us!

2 clues as to why

1. drivers seat leather is too creased for only 19,000 miles of use.2.drivers seat is positioned way too forward for a tall person

"This car is alos a bit lighter on insurance, for some reason?"

Insurance companies use a combination of factors to rate cars....including vehicle weight which plays a significant role in charges...almost equally to HP ratings believe it or not. I can actually drive a 2001 Z3 3.0 Convert for $250 cheaper per year vs. my 95 Q45. It does not make practical street sense on why the insurance industry uses some factors the way it does, but as long as they use the factors consistently then things are okay.

Wes sucks at lying! It would be WAY more transparent if he tried to pull a prank on us.

looks like a nice car. Wes, it's nice to have a car that you know you wont be putting a ton of money into fixing and modding isnt it? That's why I bought my cougar a month ago. The warranty goes a long way on saving money.

In that picutres, the seat is nearly all the way back but the passenger seat goes back even farther... I have the seat back leaned WAY back and the seat tilted so I dont have to have it all the way up.....

You konw what, fine since you all dont believe me, I just took a picture OF MYSELF in the car...

Dont believe the mileage, heres a picture of the ODO....

I believe that it's sitting in Wes's garage... If you lighten the pic up you can see that it's beside a big black suburban and in a three car garage (somewhat rare), but you can also notice what appears to be one of those suction cup auxilary mirrors on the drivers side windshield, and what appears to be a compass on the dash. Also, I'm not sure that a brand new car would have a map and an old kleenex in the passenger side door handle. My guess is that someone is visiting.

All of that being said - if it is Wes's car then congratulations! At that age, I can imagine my parents not wanting to put me back in a V8 import that gasped it's last breaths while drag racing in an industrial park hours away from home - especially with video evidence! I'm not saying that's what killed the car (it was the sludge) but it's hard to get parents to see it that way.

Wow, heath VERY observant, I didnt even notice that stuff... THe thing in the passenger side is a couple CDs (if you zoom in you can see it better, I have full size pictures at http://www.q45.org/Q), But very good!!!! Your looking! BTW, how did you notice that?? I couldnt see that in my pictures!!!

I mentioned this to Jesda, this is NOT a new car... its an 02 and is USED.... An elderly couple owned the car before us (they bought the car new at the same dealer) and they put that STUPID mirror (I hate it, I am going to take it off eventually, but it is kinda nifty) and the compass on... Not a big deal the compass really isnt that noticeable (I wish it would have come with the one in the mirror)...

BTW, the videos WILL not be seen by any parental unit...

Everytime my parents see me with the hood open on the Q they keep asking "Why do you keep driving that antique? You need to get something small cheap and new."

To which I always respond... "Well then you can make the monthly payments!"

The Q is so intertwined into my identity now that trading or selling for anything else would be impossible.

Till death do us part!

Also, of the entire Buick lineup, I think the Regal has the youngest buyers. Its not like the youngest people buy the hot C6, XLR, or M45 anyway -- none can afford it.

As much as I agree with you, I didnt think I could ever get rid of my Q but this time I was forced!!!!!!

Anyway, this may be somewhat temoprary.. if I take my time, I can still sell it for what I paid and possibly more, and still maybe get a nice Q..

That's a very good looking car you got there wes. Congrats.

Is the Riviera aimed at the younger market? I don't know what they cost. Personally, I think the Riviera looks very good.

I also noticed what appears to be an *cough* IU *cough* flag in the background. Hoosier! I didn't doubt it for a sec. If Wes wanted to punk us he would have said he got a Lexus.

Congrats Wes on your new ride! But I think it is fiction. There is 0.00001 probability of this is being a fact. I just don't see Wes with a drag racing personality driving a buick Plus that car is too new for you. Don't you wanted something that you can fix it up.

LOL, I was just telling Wes last night that no one can post a "Got A New Car!" thread without disbelief thanks to me. On April Fools Day I ruined it for everyone!
