Sorry buddy, it's to late. Before you go to sleep, I suggest a bottle of tylenol PM and a bottle of Jaeger. It'll take care of your problems and ours simultaneously.

You sold/wrecked it, it's gone. Let it go. Move on. Get a new sig.

And grow up...... my daddy never bought me a car.
LMFAO! Holy ****, that picture reminds me of what i say to people to thier faces all the time. Thats by far the best reply i've seen so far next to a few things Jesda has said, such as the zorro snap thingy.

Besides that, heres my reply.

Ok, im not completely spoiled, My parents did help me buy my 240sx which is a 91 when i was 16 ( 3 years ago ) for 2700 , i paid half, and paid them back.

I have spend 12k on the thing entirely of my own money that i earned working almost 40 hours a week during high school and then about 50-60 during those summers and then some money i saved from graduation and just holidays becuase i use every penny i get. Now... 12k on my 240sx has given me one ****ton of awesome for a car. With 12k monies, you should shut the **** up and buy something -----

YOU DONT BUY A CAR BECUASE OF WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK AND TELL YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD BUY! YOU BUY WHAT YOU WANT BECUASE ITS WHAT MAKES YOU SATISFIED----

, 12k is like..... So much fcking money to play with in the world of nissan. If you want something that you dont want to work on and want reliable. By a damn Volkswagon or Toyota or nissan from the early 90's and leave it alone.

People that have more than they know and still complain anger me, and probably not just me. So i'd have to say you in need of some good back of hand to face education.

welp, if you were on the verge of getting a G35, I doubt you're going to have problems getting a good car. it'll probably just be a few years old.

in fact, might I suggest:

Good grief. I am sorry that I did not look at this thread much earlier!

Guys, will you all chill and stop the flaming? It is unacceptably ridiculous.

Sometime today, I am going to edit/delete a bunch of posts in here because many of them are way over the top. No matter how much somebody might have irritated you in the past, there is no cause for this kind of retaliation.

Good plan, szhosain.

Statix, I'm not quite sure why $3k makes such a huge difference here? Certainly, it bumps you up a year model or 15,000mi or so in terms of a slightly used car, but having $12k to your name isn't shabby at all, and like I said earlier, you can still get plenty of car at that price. I'd kill to have $12k right now.

statix,

you got a decent bundle of cash saved up. buy something cheap and use the money fix/build everything!!!

buying a new car will cost more money, either in tuning or price or insurance.

Do what I do, buy a beater and build it!!! Or atleast buy a running beater, that way you dnot have much down time.

Statix,

No car is perfect. Even a brand new car can have problems. Take, for instance, my friend's Civic; she bought it brand new in July of 02'. In October of 02', it needed a new transmission- she only had 2nd and 4th gears. A brand new car needed a transmission in 3 months! As long as you take care of whatever you get, it will run for a long time. It's pointless to buy a brand new car right now. I'm 22, and in college. I have $$ saved up, but I'm not buying a new car till I get out of school. That's going to be my graduation present to myself. Even then, it still won't be brand new- probably an 02-04MY car.

Please, just make sure you get a car that you want, not just what some random people on the internet think you'd 'pick up madzz chicks yooo' in.

But good luck with the car search... you'll find the perfect car and it will just fall into your hands.

Miss Cleo has spoken in your favor

I'm sorry man, but I just can't feel sorry for you. I wish I could, but you have given even 17 year olds bad reputations with all the threads you've been creating, whining left and right about things. I'm not going to say anything flame induced, but I will say this. You need to seriously look in the mirror, and grow up. Complaining because your dad can't help you, just shows how immature you still are. Be thankful he's been as supportive as he has been. Alot of kids don't have that from their parents nowadays.

You also sold your Twin Turbo Z without having a backup plan of your own? You got yourself in this mess, you're going to have to get yourself out of it.

The main reason everyone is so critical of you, is you bring all your crying to us on Nico, without doing some self-analysis of your own first. One day you'll look back at these threads, and laugh at yourself. I know I do about certain things I did in the past. My advice to you on a car though, is get a cheap civic or corolla, and just drive that till you're ready to get your 00+ car. You have nothing but time kid. I'd give almost anything to go back to 17 and redo some of the choices I made. Be thankful you have so many options.

do you honestly think the majority of us got to where we are today by having our parents buy our transportation?!! So what hes not gonna help you, get your a$$ up and go buy your own damn car! So oyu cant start with an S2K, honestly, new cars run into as many problems as old ones.Your trying to start on top, just buy somethin that looks good and runs decently, and youll be set. Then work your way up.

Seriously, I made like 1 or 2 good decisions when I was that age, all the rest were junk! Dont make big decisions at that age...get a decent car, dont modify it a ton and put your money in the bank, you WILL need it down the road and you'll be glad you didn't blow it on a car.

Personally, I don't mind if you post a million "which car should I buy?" threads. If it bothered me I'd just not read the thread...a novel concept, eh?

It seems like some of our members are acting like you killed their dog, slept with their girlfriend and took a leak in their breakfast cereal all in the same day.

Anyway, it's always disappointing when plans fall through but it's just one of life's little kicks to the groin.

As others have noted, $12K isn't a bad amount of money. I'm pretty sure it would buy you a newer Sentra Spec-V or a lower trim level Sentra and then have some $$$ to put in the bank.

In that case, I would give him a speech about not needing to have the fastest, coolest, etc. car because someone always has something nicer and faster.

I would also say that the important thing is to get a car he can have fun with. I would further add that a Spec-V is a perfectly respectable car and affordable enough to even let him do some mild mods to it.

This is all good advice because I'm old and have hair on my back and in my ears.

Wow... anyway, before this gets locked I'll add my 2+ cents.

As many have said 12k is quite a bit of money to go car shopping with and you're going to college right? I think I remember saying this before but I'll say it again. You should really get something that doesn't draw attention to its self on campus.

Things to look at IMO:

1) Miata

2) GT Mustang (Though I really can't stand the interior and seating position they do move quickly and superchargers for them are comparably inexpensive.)

3) E36 328 or 318. For 12k you probably don't want to get an ///M model since they're harder to find that haven't been driven hard all their life. They're out there though. Older E46's may be cheap enough now but I haven't checked. E30's are in your price range as well but there rear suspension keeps me away. Unfortunatly these break the rule of not drawing attention because of things like, "OMG! It's 10 year old bEEmer! That guy must be rollin' in it!" As he seats himself into a 2003+ SUV.

4) Civic HB (The EK's have double wishbone suspension at all four corners and there are a ton of them that have been modded and are up for sale and people don't seem to want to buy them because of the 240sx bandwagon or something.)

5) VW Golf 1.8t or VR6 both models respond to mods really well but I've heard, but haven't confirmed, that the 1.8t models handle better. Probably because of less wieght in front. Check out the 1/4 mile times at VW Vortex. Timing belt needs to be changed around 90k miles. There's also the diesel if you want to go the economic route.

Finally, don't be afraid to buy someone elses modded car if you've done the research and have a really good idea what you're getting into. Their are some good deals floating around because people are often a little to leary.

Out of these... I'd be getting a 1.8t Golf or turbo Civic. The latter seems to be hard to find with AC still intact and the Golf seems to be a very overlooked car by the majority of the American populace (Golfs also seem to always get good reviews on their interiors.). I don't fit in Miatas well enough to own one for anything but a track car and I've already said why I don't like the Mustangs and I already have an E36. The E36 is a solid car but for your performance dollar the other options will give you a better value unless you're getting an ///M since power producing parts are rather pricy. The non ///M models still handle well though.

Don't give any "I don't want a FWD" trash either. They still work quite well on a road course and on the street the most glaring differance will be the lack of the ability to power the tail out. Whoopty friggen' doo.

Take it or leave it.

You make wayyy to many of these threads. In all honesty, I wish a moderator could just a make a thread called STATIX DRAMA, and sticky it at the top of this page, and have you post all of this stuff there, instead of making a billion freaking threads.

You need to be less concerned with buying 10k+ dollar cars every month, and more concerned with what you are gonna be doing in your future. Schooling? Apartment? House? Food? Maybe it would be a good idea not to spend ALL of your money on a car that you will probably get tired of in a month.

And honestly, you are WHINING. You obviously are well off in that you either have an extremely good job for a 17 year old to have 12k dollars to your name, or your parents are helping you out ALOT. Either way you are well off, and need to stop complaining about things.
