Saddam using military personnel forced inspectors who were in process of overseeing the destruction of banned missles, weapons, out of country. Years later, they returned. Again, years gone by, and the UN wished for more testing, more proposals, more resolutions, to ask Saddam to hand over all documentation, which he did in half-truth.

As we all know, WMD was one of many banned items that Saddam was thought to have in possession. Some banned items were reported to be found. If you have other info, speak up. I would like to know also, where did the WMD R&D get shipped off to. Where were they in the first place? Were they there?

You don't have any more of a clear answer than I do. You cannot say that they were never there, but you must eventually see that mass murder, if not secret WMD development, is cause for removal.

The problem, to me, is the reason why we went to war with Iraq. I agree that we should free brutal, oppressed nations, but what I don't agree with is the wild allegations of WMD and such, when it took FOREVER to find any evidence of such WMD, and when they did, I can't see it as credible because the military could have really found nothing but say they found stuff (hence why they found it so late in the game). Know what I mean? Just a thought.

Not to mention I think the REAL reason this war was started is of a greed-induced nature (eg, oil) with a cheap "free the oppressed" sticker over it. I mean, the Bush administration tries to play off like the MAIN reason they took over the country was to free the people (along with WMD), but I dont think our country would "waste" billions, if not trillions already, of dollars of our reasources just to free the people and leave in peace. There has to be some ulterior motive at play here...

In conclusion, I don't FULLY agree with this war, although I am happy the Iraqi people are finally free from the Hussains thanks to our soldiers. I have always, and will always, respect our soldiers. They fight as I sit here in my comfy chair typing away debates on some BBS...

Condellezza Rice recently released a statement saying there is NO proof that any weapons were moved and/or shipped to any countries..

Also the U.S. put Saddam in power to go into those neighboring countries and kill and loot and destroy. (ex. Iran)

Also you state that we did not have a clear answer about supposed weapons so why rush off to war and tell the people it is about weapons that you have no idea if they exist in the first place?

There is definately an ulterior motive in Iraq ... The U.S. does not go into countries and start wars over the sufferring of people. Or else we would have went to North Korea by now to stop his concentration camps and torturing.
