vanessa you can, its actually gonna be easier for you then it would for most of us cause you have small hands and can get in behind the engine. I dont know if there is a writeup but it can be done and I think you can do it, all it is is unplug old/plug in new. The b**** is getting it out of the firewall.

It is difficult to get it through the firewall with the motor still in, but otherwise its just unplug/replug like Nolimit said. I'd sell you mine for cheap (it has a few clips that are broken from removal but it worked fine when it was in the car (only has 34k on it)).

I'm pretty sure the 91s still had AIVs which means that the 91 harness will fit but i'm not 100% on that, that would be the only difference.

so this was Alex's response Regarding the 90 head issue, it was primarily on cars manufacturedbefore 9/89. It feels like the car bucks under light to mediumthrottle, most noticeable when going on or off the throttle. If thisdescribes your car at all and you know with some degree of certaintythat the engine in the car is the original, I'd urge you to considerselling or donating the car or consider replacing the engine. Ipersonal Z had this problem and despite replacing the crank anglesensor several times, the only solution was to replace the engine, which I did.

this scares the s*** out of me- my was made on 5/89. My problem isn't really bucking though so its not it right?? RIGHT????

then he said:If that doesn't sound like your car, here's the list of stuff you'd need to get.

1 new harnesshttp://www.conceptzperformance...7.2161 plenum gasket (upper to lower ~9$)http://www.conceptzperformance...7.2161 pcv hose kit ~90http://www.conceptzperformance...7.216

parts total ~500 plus a few for shipping. I'd suggest phoning theorder in to ensure the harness for your car is still available andwhat the lead time is.

labor 500 to replace all of that, baring there aren't any unexpectedor unforeseen problems. Considering that the car is 20 years old andfrom the rust belt, there's a good chance stuff will break comingapart. When replacing the harness, we actually have to unbolt andlower the main engine cross member, engine, and steering rack. It is abit of risky maneuver, but it actually saves time over removing thewhole engine.

If I were you, I'd budget to have some extra cash on hand just in case.

How much is a new engine?????????????????????

New engine is anywhere from $2000 to $3500, depending on where you get it. Unless you're TT swapping, don't swap your engine; Just rebuild it.

AND..... On an unrelated note, I GOT MY MOM TO JOIN NICO!!!!!!
