aright just for $hits and giggles...what do you guys think would be the ultimate getaway car?? i think a very nicely setup up EVO VIII [suspension, inc. power a lil bit] would do quite nicely in escaping a serious car chase.

lets hear 'em..what do you guys think?? all cars/ideas are wlecome

Alright I know you said car but in case you just meant vehice I would say something along the lines of a Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Bad ***. And if you mean strictly cars, I'd say a Ferrari Enzo, and even if they catch you, you're going down in style :D

By the way since I mentioned the enzo I have to add that a few weeks ago my boss told me he saw on the news some guy went to a dealer to test drive one. He met all neccessary criteria, and had whatever neccessary for a test drive, so they let him, BY HISSELF! He didn't come back... :ylsuper

yea, that IS sweet. I'm not for stealing cars, but when someone can get away with an $800,000 Enzo that the dealer LET them take by THEIRSELF, thats money right there :-)

man i'd be too worried about scratchin an Enzo to even drive fast with it ;) but that would kick some serious booty in a good straight highway for sure... anyway, back to the getaway cars...

see.. im think of all the angles. with an EVO, you could definitely handle the close-built city streets, sharp turns etc. but you'd also have the quickness to out-maneuver whoever's chasin you. but if you HAD to go off road, you could prolly handle that too ;)

THE NEW STIS DON'T COMPARE TO THE 22B. THE 22B WAS THE ULTIMATE STI..... SO FAR.

wait wait wait...whats the scenario? are we in the desert? the jungle? NYC? do we have passengers? cargo? how much weight? how far do we have to go?with these points as variables, the perfect getaway car could be anything from a BMW Isetta to a 750iL.

overall, though, i would either pick a Hummer (H1, the only real hummer) or a 750i. the combination of those two can get you anywhere.

I guess after all he did use it as a getaway car.;) I guess he voted enzo to. Haha! As for a getaway car a Porsche 911 carrera turbo s. The best street monster.

how bout all of the above... i figure if you're actually in a chase.. you never know WHAT you may have to deal with so you should totally be able to handle anything, right?

BBC's Top Gear voted the 540i the best getaway car (why not the m5??!!), but i too would choose an Evo, but an Evo VI makkinen.unless i knew it was going to be a dry day, then it would be a noble m12 gto. simply the most incredible car ive ever driven, it would walk our Z06, and therefor anything else chasing it? Sorry evo, not quick enough.-Enzothe m12 at roadamerica, july

I would want something inconspicuous and something that's not too valuable because you will eventually hafta ditch the getaway car... so I will have to go w/ a Jeep of some sort just so you can cross medians and do a 180 on the popos heh

a charger crossed my mind too... definitely got the power and the strength to crash into things and keep on going.. but that thing is soo heavy and you'd prolly run out of gas at a really bad time ;)
