nolaws4evr wrote:I to have a story about midnight nightvision drug runs. cept this one was told to me by my criminal law teacher that is an ex DEA agent and currently a SWAT sniper in TExas. he told my class that one night at like 2am he was doin paperwork on the side of the highway and his detector went off at like 160 or something. several weeks later they found out it was a black VR4 runnin no lights and night vision and he crashed tryin to cut off a 18wheeler. I tend to beleive this too b.c the teacher showed us multiple videos of crazy chases he was involved in.

this my firend is an urban legend. the story has been changed numerous times but wioht the same premise. Very fast car, no light int he dead of night.

bTW, who does PAPERWORK at 2AM by the SIDE OF TEH ROAD!?I got deadlines to meet too but come on......................

thanks projectrb, I guess the moral of the whole thing is it was a dam fast blacked out car with nightvision runnin drugs and he got CAUGHT!! fact or fiction is up in the air, but I tend to beleive it since it is a sweet idea and there are a lot of dumbasses out there to try it. and yeah, the cop/teacher only stopped 3 types of people at all times of the day/night, People transporting drugs, criminals, or weapons... thats it, no speeding or nothin so he usually had alot of time on his hands.

Im thinking the Jessee James Corvette Stingray from Monster garage. 4wd, 400hp, 200shot of Nitrous. It's make for a sweet getaway car, only problem is that its not discreet.

If I were runnin with no lights at night.. i'd want that Starion that Jackie Chan rode shotgun in from "cannonball Run" Also KITT from Knight Rider would be pretty good. And if there were quite a few bridges out in my county(like Mr1lder) I'd definitely want the General Lee.

man a blast from the past.. id say the DeLorean from back to the future would kick a$$.. you could just hit 88 mph and jump ahead a few hours.. or even back a few BEFORE you pull of the 'job' and you could drive to some othe location and then go back to 'your own time'.. problem solved

a dark green '96 Explorer with a blown 351

-get away for a bit then hide out in a parking lot ANYWHERE.........cops can't search every Ford in every parking lot

or remember in "The Jackel" where he had the minivan, that he just peeled off the paint......you might need a lot of time to do that though

Ultimate getaway car has to be the X-5 4.4i. But if you really had 70k to blow on a car you only would use once, would you be out robbing banks? Yeah me too :D

~As far as that Enzo being stolen. The salesman went with him. The cust is only allowed to drive so many miles. (Ten I believe) So when that mileage is reached the salesman must drive the car back, BUT you don't always have to let the salesman back in the car do ya...lol. Vrahaaaaaaaaamba...vraaaaaaaa Can you just imagine the dumb look on the salesman's face. AHAHAHA!

I have thought about this many times and have come to one conclusion.Datsun 280z with an rb26dett. Custom armor plating and bumper reinforcment. Run flats and a j30 rear end. Those things run low 11's on stock boost from stock turbos. A little tweaking and no pig can keep up with me.

i dunno man.. the armor would weigh you down.. and again not so good for the off-road scenario. would be good on maneuverability.. helps when avoiding the spray of bullets coming from behind you...

I was going to mention that but thought I would check to see if it had been done already. Static pulse cannon, .50 cal machine guns, grappling missiles, off road mode, hover craft mode, hologram projector, morphing armor, who could stop that? Viper and Knight Rider were what got me interested in computers and cars in the first place, I still wouldn't mind a KITT or KARR(KITTs evil brother) replica they are all over the net but unfortunately Viper isn't even on sci fi anymore:( let alone have a fan base able to spawn replicas. Speaking of such did anyone see that episode of Tactical to Practical where they did a feature on the Humvee and then the "super truck" that had like lasers and electrified exterior, no joke. I know I've been through a few neighbor hoods where I wouldn't mind being able to electrify the exterior from the inside.

i was serious about this when i started it.. but as you can see things get weird around here real fast. so just throw any ideas you might have about this.. as long as it fairly reasonable. [no spaceships or pterradactyls]

cwc2k1 wrote:Alright I know you said car but in case you just meant vehice I would say something along the lines of a Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Bad ***. And if you mean strictly cars, I'd say a Ferrari Enzo, and even if they catch you, you're going down in style :D

By the way since I mentioned the enzo I have to add that a few weeks ago my boss told me he saw on the news some guy went to a dealer to test drive one. He met all neccessary criteria, and had whatever neccessary for a test drive, so they let him, BY HISSELF! He didn't come back... :ylsuper

i heard about a guy who went out for a test drive in an F50 with the salesmen in the passenger's seat, after driving around for a while, he pulled over said he didn't want to drive it back to the dealership and asked the salesmen to drive it for him. so the salesmen gets out of the car to walk around to the driver's side, and the guy takes off! they never found the car.

The best would probably be the v12 Vanquish from Die Another Day, I'm pretty sure along with all the crazy weapons it had it was able to go almost invisible :D that or this crazy car like that in The Spy who Loved me, goes like 100mph on land and 30mph in the water made by some british company... only problem is you would need to be pretty close to the water...

in urban terrain an M5 or 760il so that you have space for people to sit and trunk space yet can outrun police cars

im pretty sure the General Lee was mentioned, that water-car idea is pretty creative, though id try to stay away from water during a chase. harder to outrun boats or choppers in a 30 mph car
