anyone seen The Transporter? BMW 7 series V12 all the way, with some nice tints, a barabus (or wahtever) tuned motor, and all those nice goodies (switchable license plates, code start, etc)

How about the turbo wraith(aka Dodge Interceptor) from that one old *** movie...

Motor pic... Rear Front... And look what it does to cop cars, not a scratch on it ;)

BTW, in the movie, the car had pretty much unlimited acceleration...unstoppable.

Its been said before, but BMW 750i. the old version, like the one in "the world is not enough" (?).

Design a system to monitor tire pressures and regulate them. Have a series of tubes in the tire sidewal that can be filled with fluid/ gas/ goop of some kind to keep running.

Switchable license plates, of course. Roll cage/ custom rally type suspension. 4 bucket seats and stripped interior for weight loss. Tinted windows all round.

A box the width of the rear bumper filled with Caltrops (little spike dealies that are designed to always land with one point up) that can be opened from the ****pit, spilling little, tire destroying bastards all over the pavement.

Integral ramming bar up front.

Tuned motor... target would be in the 600bhp+ range. Mclaren F1 motor swap, maybe? :-p

and the coup de' grace. En EMP system with a range of ~2 miles. Have all the elctrical in the car beefed up and protected to withstand that, and a system to shut all the electics down just before it goes off, then start them up again when the pulse has faded.

Used wisely, these things (while completely unrealistic and way too pricey to even imagine) would allow you to get away from helicopters, cars, boats, whatever.

Now all you need is the Million+ it would cost. :-p

I'm gonna have the stay Nissan faithful on this one and say the NISMO 400R would be one sick getaway car. Even the Tommi Kaira ZZ2, I think it is.

Well, it depends on your definition of "getaway"

If from the police, then a plain looking crown vic with a police scanner. Anything else would be pretty dang noticeable.

If its a weekend getaway with date and luggage, M5.

An a getaway evening with a date? Mayback 57 with chauffeur. That way you can keep both hands on your date (ahem)

Afternoon getaway: Ferrari Enzo or McLaren

Screw it. The Marine Technologies Y2K turbine superbike. Handcrafted...only 5 made per year..powered by a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine...running on Diesel fuel...0-227 in 15 seconds...Has 2 gears(1 drive gear + reverse). Top speed of 250 mph. Produces about 320 horsepower at 52000 RPM...425 ft/lbs of torque at 2000 rpm. Quarter mile in 9.8 seconds
