new project silvia oil filter relocate kit. He used this over the GReddy one b/c it uses real A/N fittings whereas the GReddy kit uses the fake fittings with the clamps that people usually face backwards. Plus he was able to change it to braided nylon instead of stainless. You can also see the Earl's inline fuel filter on the frame rail.
where did you hide the fuse box? this thing is looking REALLY good. how about some more turbo teaser pics???

SR TPS bolts in. The part # is SERA483-05

Yes!

No new pictures yet. The wire tuck is officially done now. I am in the process of making the hot and cold side intercooler piping and waiting on some heat protective sheaths for some of the AN lines.

I'll have some updated pics soon.

Don't really have too much of an update yet. Should have a lot by the end of this coming week though. I should have all of my piping, couplers in to fab the intercooler piping this week. All of my little odds and ends AN fittings etc. will be in this week. Still trying to figure out what I want to do about pulleys.

This week I got in all of my Thermo-Tec "Cool It" line sheathing. Pretty cool stuff, but expensive. I'm not sparing any expense on this setup obviously, so I figured I would make sure everything was protected from heat etc. Any braided line that comes in contact or in really close vicinity with the turbo/manifold is getting covered with this stuff.

Here is an example on one of the turbo coolant lines,

Also some carbon fiber sheet that I made for a customer. I'm thinking about producing sheets of carbon, kevlar, colored carbon/kevlar, aluminized fiberglass, etc. for Nico members on a order basis. It's pretty easy to do and I can make it a lot cheaper than what you buy the hard sheets for online. I can make a lot bigger pieces than this also. Would work perfect for trim plates, gauge panels, block off plates, cooling plates etc.

how much for a 2 by 3 foot peace of that carbon? id like 2 over 2 twill. how thick is it? does it have adhesive on the back? and can you wrap parts in it for more money? thanks, how much is the line shield run you?

The Thermo-Tec Heat Sleeve runs about $10/ft depending on the diameter. It is good for about 500 degrees continuous and 2200 degrees for smaller time intervals. It is even fairly flame retardant.

The carbon and other composites come as raw cloth. So I can make it as thick or as thin as you want. You or I can add double stick adhesive to the back or whatever method you want to attach it depending on the install. For example: If you want carbon and you need an extremely strong part, then I can do several layers of carbon and or Kevlar. This would obviously be the most expensive. If you need a trim plate out of carbon, but are only going to see one side and you don't need it to be mega strong; then I can use one layer of carbon and use fiberglass mat for the additional layers to get the thickness you want but for a cheaper price.

I am in the process of experimenting with mold-less composites. In other words, wrapping parts in carbon and other materials while still achieving a high gloss finish like the plate I made.

The 1st pic gives you an idea of the pattern.... which is the standard "cosmetic" twill. Many others are available. The 2nd pics shows how glossy/smooth/reflective the finish is. Keep in mind this is my very 1st attempt at composite sheets. I have done tons and tons of work with fiberglass, but in custom construction form.

I might have to get some of that Thermo tec stuff. I always feel like the injector harness is melting from the ramhorn on my car.

CF sheets look awesome. U gonna use it on my car somewhere? How about we make a CF toilet at the shop?

Yeah, that heat sleeve stuff is amazing! You'll have to stop by the shop and check it out....... I should have some of the larger diameter left over.

Carbon toilet? What do you think I was doing over the weekend? You just have to come over and help me break it in Ladysman style!

Do you want 1mm of solid carbon? The piece I made as an example is 2 sheets of carbon. It is .65mm thick. So 3 sheets of material would be 1mm thick. For my customer I am doing 1 layer of carbon for the finish side and fiberglass cloth for the 2nd layer since it won't be seen. So it really depends on what you are using it for. The carbon cost roughly $8 per layer per sq/ft. So a 1mm thick piece would be $24. If you wanted one layer of carbon and the rest fiberglass then it would be $15...... $8+$3.50+$3.50.

So as I am reading the forum, I realize that i have seen both your friend brian's and your 240's before. But i had no idea where.

Then i remembered i went to the 2007 HIN show in chicago.

I remember i couldn't believe how CLEAN both of these two cars were. Probably both my 2 favors out of the bunch.

Well my favorite was my friends dad's rally ford cosworth.

Is the address of the shop anywhere? Your shop is not to far from me. (few hours)

What exactly do you want a picture of? The turbo is constantly on and off for making lines, sleeves, etc. etc. So it is just kind of sitting there half-*** which means he won't have any pics that are a true representation. I officially torqued the manifold on last night, so it is on for good. Just waiting on the T3 gasket from Full-Race then I will get the turbo, downpipe, wastegate etc. bolted in for good. Hot side piping is complete, just waiting on 3" aluminum for the cold side.

I was considering a body kit but I will be going all OEM after seeing the lines on your car. You are right, nothing fits like OEM.

How far from Paducah KY. Maybe I can get you to help me clean up my engine bay.LOL

I might not be as clean as you and codyace, but I would like to drag race both of you. Should have methanol injection and a 2 step launch control to go with my new cams and intake by the time it cools down this fall. 400whp, 26" wrinkle walls, and a 2 step......... hope it doesn't break!!!
