Hows the tire spin gonna be with 60+ extra HP? I know the stock tires will spin for DAYS if you're doing a hard launch at full throttle. I'm thinking upgraded rims and better tires are definitely gonna be required, although if you have the money to pay for a SC, you probably already have upgraded rims/tires.

I don't think that is going to be the main concern about the launching, but you should think more about the torque steering the car will have. It is sure there will be tire squealing from the power, and yes, just upgrading the tires sure takes care of that, but also the amount of spin also depends on the driver's skill. If you are experience in tracking then you know how much throttle to open before the car loses grip with the floor.. jmtc

Some pictures to hold you over for the holidays. The nozzle with the red cap will be positioned toward the rear (firewall). This will fit ALL the MR Motors (Versa/Cube/Sentra 2.0).

Happy Holidays!

Looking good. I am patiently waiting the day I can purchase the set up. I would love to help with the process any way I can. If you are looking for anyone that can fabricate the brackets, let me know. Regardless, when the time comes I will have my connection fab up some aluminium brackets for me, that is if they will be strong enough.

The nozzle with the red cap is facing the hood at the moment. It still looks like a bunch of work needs to be done. The belt looks like it was just thrown on there. The tension pulley looks like it isn't serving a purpose at the moment, lol. Has this project made any more progress? Like I mentioned before, I work in a machine shop and I program and run sold works. If you need some help fabing up some brakets I can get anything within 3000th of a mm of variance lol. We do alot of heart valves and dental tools and stuff so this would be cake. I also may be able to get some funding for this project if we end up going trough my shop to manufacture the mounting brackets. My boss is super chill and loves cars. And I've got a V so we could do some testing on my car. We also powder coat too. Just saying just in case versa speed or whoever wants to order some in red or blue or black or something. Just let me know. Thanks for your hard work.

I wonder why there has been no Turbo'ed Versa/Cubs yet.
I would jump into it, when the car is paid off that is.

Oh just forget it, this isn't going to happen. Talk talk talk talk. Eff this noise. I'm selling my Versa and buying a 2009 mazdaspeed 3 GT white. 263hp and 280ft/lbs of torque stock. If I droped $1500 into it I could be over 300hp. So whoever is waiting for this nonsense and is really going to throw down 3k just for a kit and then have to pay to have their A/C lines relocated just to bring the car to 220hp without a limited slip differential, If you see me on the freeway just honk three times and then you can tell me if it was worth it.

LOL calm down there bud. This stuff takes time. They don't just poop this stuff out. :slap:
Oh and you go spend like 25-30k on that Mazda......Have fun!

I was looking yesterday on where this would go (on a cube) and there really is no room with the A/C lines there. Wonder how this is going to work.........

You are right, he will have lots of fun
I had a versa 1.6 and loved it
however, there is nothing more exciting than my mazdaspeed6
yes, I spent twice as much I did on the versa, but now I have at least twice as much fun

Again, I loved my car, but the market just isn't too friendly for the versa right now

Update for those that care...

As the pictures show, the supercharger is mounted in place. The A/C lines are re-routed on the car so the S/C fits without clearance issues. The intake going into the S/C and from the S/C to the engine was completed this week. All that is left are to get some new injectors for better fuel flow and then some fuel management tuning. The prototype kit is 85% done with just a couple smaller things to finish up.

socket11: If you want a kit so bad, please buy the $2,000 supercharger yourself and build the kit in your solid works program and machine shop. We have been getting the project done as fast as we can with everything else going on in life. If it was easy and cheap, we'd have it done already. It's being done as time and money allow.

Here's the link to the "First Run" of the Supercharger in the Versa...it was just to check to make sure all was aligned and no leaks etc.. Now we'll put the nose back on it and fix it up to look much better then you see here...we also have to do the tune/dyno but right now it's looking and sounding real good and I'll have better video on it later...when I took this video was more concerned about the other things. Enjoy!

As for the Mazdaspeed 3....nice car...but the Versa is lighter/better weight dist./better CD so Mazda's need all the extra HP/TQ to haul it's butt around.

For those that want a youtube version.

Please keep in mind...this is just the first setup and we are going to make adjustments to the design as we go along...already have some ideas in my head so what you see is just the starting point....it's going to get a lot better from here....enjoy!

Can't wait till everything is dialed in and tuned AND we still have a "Stage II" were planning down the road.

I have been following this project underground since the beginning, and I still am as excited as the moment of where I first imagined my versa with 200 HP.. it has been a long wait, but now I'm finally starting to think that all this time will finally pay for all this hard work you guys have been doing. Congratulations, and keep the good work coming, I just can't wait no more to see the end work.

Hey! Sorry I haven't been around for a bit but just been super busy on the personal front. BUT I was able to get up to Willow Springs Raceway and the Viper guys and during break time I took the Versa out on the track for a few laps...car ran/handled/stopped fantastic and next time I'll have to get up there for some real track time...anyway here is the video of the experience...and their was some restrictions while on the track BUT most of the track those restrictions were pretty much "out the door" LOL!
As for the AC lines and the SC...I really don't think I can find anything that will be inexpensive to use...so far nothing and I mean nothing has worked and running out of ideas. With a good fifteen thousand miles with the SC it's worked flawless as you will see in the video.

Enjoy!

The video looks really good. I don't know why there haven't been any responses.

Anyway, since it has been 7 months since the last post I was wondering if there have been any updates. I am very interested in this build.

Hello everyone, I'm new here, and just bought my first new 2014 Nissan Versa car 4 door, sedan S model, I know I'm not a gear head as of yet but working at it, but my question here is were can I get a turbo charger for my car? it's a little slow on the take off, to which I have been driving a Kia for almost 4 yrs, and for them to take off was no problem.
Just would like to know how I can do a mod on this type of car, heard there are some mod parts out, need some good advise. because my versa is like slow as hell taking off but once up to 70 it flies like nothing going to touch it.

thank you
Teriwild

I've read some comments here and there. Is the SC Kit ready to be sold? I'd be really interested in super charging my HB Versa.
