theyre plenty wrong with used coils. i've tried to buy used ones twice and neither time was a good experience. with expensive important things dont buy used unless its from someone you personally know

i suppose thats a good idea. or you could just refrain from buying from sketchy people.

new coilovers are good though. imo.

ennyway. when're the coils coming into the project, eh.

Lol I don't know trampdrift. Coils for me? probably after graduation... so next year. Either that or whenever I move out between now and then I'll spend an extra G on the car.

I'd probably go with PBM just because I've seen their greatness IRL. Although my dream coils are JIC like WC said. I have tremendous respect for them after seeing their Porsche drift car suspension setup. They're really good engineers.

Small update!:

Got some fkn sick shoes! 40 bats on sale at journeys! last pair in the store and it was my size ! I walked in and was like woah, these match my car so well. They're the drift cat style shoe made for driving comin in handy at carlisle!

Installed my base model seat today. It's so much more comfortable. I did a weight savings thing too with it. There is particle board in the back of the seat between the zipper straps. U can take that out. Plus replacing all those metal rings with zipties has to save me a few grams lol!... wow I have a problem.

zomg can't wait to drive to class tomorrow and not have my @ss hurt!

sup guys, might be off the subject a little but i got a redtop SR swap that me and my cousin put in my s13 coupe. the thing is that it has the vertical lines on the front of the head just like the thread owners sr motor. a couple of my friends said it was a black top with a redtop vavle cover. im like okay? so your telling me the guy who sold it to me (from a canadian warehouse "nagasaki motors") fiddled with the vavle covor and changed it out for watever reason? i just want to make sure that this is original and why did nissan make it like this? whats the pros if any cons? but if its really a black top, lucky me?

Search man don't thread jack... you didnt even say you were sorry! Those "fins" help cool i beleive the oil. Con: they add 3grams to the total weight of the vehicle. Seriously man, SEARCH!

OP: Im still stickin with the build man. Hows is going? And its weird I have those exact driver seat you do, but i have a 91 DOHC (not sohc obviously). Neways good job, keep us updated. More pix as well?

whats the ecu code? you can tel from that. is the red paint old looking? or does it look like a repaint? it might be a late model redtop (they had the cooling fins of the blacktop)

the ECU code is E5. does this justify it as a latemodel redtop? the motor came from a warehouse, also so he just thrown an ecu connected to an uncut wiring harness with it. the one that came on the engine was all CUT up so thats just extra wires now.

Thanks war. These nubs need reminding .The jacks haven't bothered me up until now. If you want my help primer, email me, or create a thread and email me the link. Preferably you create it in the technical or mechanic section. OR sr20det rear drive. Come on man, I stopped responding to ur msgs on myspace cuz you didn't freakin read. It's like u wanted spoon fed info lol, i posted the pics of the bumper cutting in this thread and u asked about it so obviously you didn't do research lol. But good luck.

Pic update. I attended the Tristate Tuners Meet and greet / cruise on saturday morning thru 5 pm. It was a BLAST. I met some nice 240sx people, and discovered some locals. A few were not social which was dumb of them to come to a MEET and greet without being open to conversation. Their loss.

I've been busy with a few maintenance things just today/yesterday (sunday) namely fixing tail light seals, trunk interior, seatbelts (manual drivers side belt) and I have a matching seat for the passenger side courtesy of Mrgreeneyes! Me and scott (the silver zenki) were the only ones w/ an SR (everyone says they're so common eh? lol) Funny we both had redtop/blacktops. I'm really only going to post pics of my car in this thread. I think doug has a ton of them so I'll let him post.

As you can see we had our own little nissan section (with a few randoms mixed in because I knew those guys highschool friends)

You may be able to spot my fuse block wiring which still needs work. lol the weather is keeping me at bay and just kinda laziness for perfection in this aspect. otherwise it's sexitime

My absolute favorite pic; soon to b my sig! I spy SR powah! CHUKI FKN LIFE!

smocan spottin' my car up. He's got a nice fitment coupe example on nico here.

Yes we moved cars around a lot because there was so little room for the seemingly hundreds of cars that showed up to the sonic!scott's car down past mine. Nice to meet local sr owners The only rear shot I could find.

I should give u guys a pic of my new 10" sub setup with a 400w amp. It's all I need to be happy w/ teh bass!

The man behind the madness:

Pic update coming soon? Working on greeneyes coupe tomorrow so maybe not lol, but I do have my pc at his place atm so .

yeah teh ecu cod he gave is for an early model black top, but its hard to tell if that ecu goes with the engine since its just tossed in there with a cut harness. sorry for the aid in thread jack

i called the guy at the shop in canada and he said that it was for the SR too. i was curiouse because i always see sr motorswaps for sale with the ecu with the code 62. but i've also seen a few with E5. my car misfires like crazy at 68-110 MPHs if i let off gas and try to gas again.

yes. It was the screw that keeps the throttle body from closing completely. it's very small with a few nuts (or one) that is like 8mm. Just back that out till your TB will close completely, then put it close so the tb won't break if you let off the gas fast.

Thanks for the comments guys, i've been hanging out w/ keegan for like 3 days straight and driving a hell of a lot just enjoying the weather/car.

Finally back and showered lol.

Yeah smocan it was good meeting u and the other 240 owners man. We'll always be up for maple grove road runs, and that's closer to reading area for u.thanks so much to doug for all the pics!
