Idaho, thanks a bunch for your help and numerous parts. Great doing business, hopefully one day you'll live in pa . Good luck finishing up the swap man.

While I was down there I snapped a pic of my diff pumpkin that I dressed up after putting the s15 hlsd into.
hey my dad has given me a hard tim about how much i am putting into my car. he is like you will have over 10000 dollars in this thing. that is a down payment o na house.lol

hey no problem. i enjoy doing business with you.i am planing on my own intercooler kit at the end of this month. most likely a GREDDY

how much did that hlsd cost. did it drop right in. cause that could be a less expensive route for me to take instead of getting a KAAZ 1.5 but we shall see.

^ iirc the hlsd was like $600 so its close to a 1.5 or 2 way if u can get a good deal.

btw, didderson, do ur parents still think its a us spec motor?

Yeah I bought the hlsd internals for like 240 shipped, and then you have to get hlsd output shafts. I bought them new for like 250 shipped. Both shipped from japan.

I love how it grips, I tried to throw the car around in first gear and it did, but it slides/grips nicely. I'm still very noob at driving rwd, but it seems easier to control. idaho if you're looking for grip you might want to check howstuffworks.com search for torsen differential. < That's what the Hlsd is.

They still think it's a slight variation of the KA Whew. But if they ever see it again they may think otherwise because... One of the guys at Mrgreeneyes coupe's garage in hershey had a blacktop sitting around in pieces, so he gave me the coil pack cover . He said he'd just get an aftermarket one because he likes stuff like that. So if my parents see it again and they at least know what a turbo is, they will be like wait...? lol

I have a bouncy idle from 1 to 2k rpm's if anyone knows what's up. It does that at all temps. other than that it runs /boosts great. I'm going to clean the iacv again and see, but I'm leaning toward that it's broken.

Honestly I just got them from ebay sellers. People with s15's in japan get rid of theirs after swapping it out so you can usually find good prices.

Completed pics!

I figured out the problem, it was my BOV vaccume lines weren't run properly. The black nipple on the old HKS needs a vaccume source also, so I ran one from the FPR line T'd off and it starts up and idles beautifully. Only thing is it's a little high idle like 1500 rpm but thats fine w/ me. ON W/ the finished product night pics:

Note: i have a few videos i'll release tomorrow

Motorrrr with catch can on the DS frame rail:

I'm not good at taking night pics:my fav:

tom, u forgot to mention the bouncy idles back. mien did the same thing once before. it revs to about 2k then falls to 1.5k and keeps repeating that. it looks like the bov is leaking though, but does anyone has any thoughts on it?

Good call comet. I think it's becaues it still idles high. Still has trouble starting a little, but it is better. Probably cause i need to really tighten the iacv screw.

I've got a few pics/vids. no time to comment on them now, gotta go pick the sis up from skewl.

Lol hell yeah!

I had 1 more vid. greeneyes isn't such a good cameraman eh?

This is my build cat. She liked to go out in the garage on a nightly basis to see what I got done lol

It's all good duffman. Don't know why yours is taking a while, but at least I still have a bumping idle to work out . I thought it went away but it didnt lol.

hey thanks tom. it looks great. i think will get that intake too. might even order my hot pipe and cold pipe from them. because then i can have them weld the thing for the hks bov on my cold pipe. which is where i want it. and then have a normal hot pipe.

what is this bung coming off of the attachment for the MAF to the air filter?where did you get this attachment as well? cause i forgot lol

looks great.

the video sounds good too. but i am sure it doesnt do it justice. lol

damn make me want to get mine started so bad.

Yeah man, I always liked the look of cavys but it's how the car drives that bugs the hell out of me. It's so slow, automatic and the handling is like a bowl of jello. Green jello. But yea their body lines are nice.

The little bung off the side of that filter adapter I forgot to tell you just cap it off. I threw some liquid nails in the hole to fill it up. It's for the factory PAIR valve connection. This specific adapter came with my injen intake tube that was on my KA when I bought the car. No filter adapter is included with the pipingpro.com kit.

That's exactly what I did.

lol wc. I thought those vids might get me banned :/.

They're not bad, just having tire spin a tad in 1st gear is all. The last vid is the best, but u can't tell cuz its night we failed.
