so if we wanted you to use TSX projectors for the lows and just keep the original high beams, you would do that?brandonbeeb wrote:for the projectors its best for me to get them as i can get better prices on them and know which ones will work in your car. also you can get low beam only thats not a problem, its all about preference and your lighting needs.
L.e.d turn signals should be in anytime this week
On the contrary, while I'm a fan of what you've done, I was disappointed in the light pattern... I don't have the patience to read through 9 pages and 300+ posts and catch every line... I saw the pictures but didn't read the caption... spockrock clearly stated that the beam pattern was off and you'd be fixing this... I just assumed that, of all things, this would have been the first thing done when installing the projectors as it makes for VERY unsafe driving conditions for spockrock and oncoming passengers... but I see you guys were in a crunch and will be fixing these in the future.. looking forward to the final product...brandonbeeb wrote:
Pretty harsh comments considering there not done yet and will be fixed by the end of the week

we are in the prototyping phase
Hmm.. it does look like something is blocking the light on the far left and far right. That doesnt leave much going off to the side of the road at all. Not safe for little back roads for sure ... i suppose it may have something to do with how it is aimed right now.Jose3.5 wrote:I know they are not properly adjusted but the light output doesn't look wide enough, hopefully that's not the case when all is said and done.
I am not doing sequential turn signals I will have an LED strip but it will only be for the parking lights.maxentropy wrote:I felt the same way doc. You're not alone...
But these are in protoype phase so I have confidence we'll get it perfect eventually.
Waiting to see those sequantial turn LEDs and demon eyes...
to go with tsx projectors is not a problem, i would have to get the measurements on them to see if they would fit. there a bit more money as there considered one of the better projectors like the s2000 which can usually sell for a bit more money.bina12834 wrote:

As they say, beggers can't be choosers! Looking forward to see further progress on your prototype lights spock!spockrock wrote:I am not doing sequential turn signals I will have an LED strip but it will only be for the parking lights.
can you get a quote on a total price for using the TSX projectors just for the lows? because i know thats what a bunch of people want.brandonbeeb wrote:

ok well, it doesnt matter to me.....ive just heard the TSX projectors are second best to teh S2000's......the FX's sound fine to me just as long as we get a good spread and cut-off!!brandonbeeb wrote:just did some research on the tsx, there to wide of projector for the altima it looks like they would be to fat on the mounting points to get them to sit flat as there wider then the fx and even those where a tight fit
I've got blue turn signals in my car. So far haven't been pulled over yet. Have had them in for about 3 months now. I drive in palatine, mount prospect, arlington heights, chicago, evanston, skokie, golf (really strict cops), niles, all over pretty much. Even down to bloomington and carbondale. Nothing so far, but could be because they are turn signals and not on all the time. And yes, cops have seen them, especially when I'm in the left turn lanes with the blinker going.AppleBonker wrote:
In Illinois (pretty sure this holds for the rest of the US), blue is illegal unless you're driving an emergency vehicle. I got pulled over for it (I had white lights that had a slightly blue hue to them and the cop gave me a warning for it). I would image you should try to stay away from blue/purple or anything that can be construed as blue. White might be ok, but sticking with an amber/yellow would probably be your best bet. Guess it probably depends on the mood of the cop that sees it.
brandonbeeb wrote:anyone got those measurements for me?also ive got a non hid set comming in sometime next week, low beam only set up ill get pics up of those as well when there finished
Infantry1327 wrote:good work hangtime, i was going to do this yesterday but couldnt find my measuring tape. Brandon I am takeing my grill off tonight to throw some stuff on, so I will try and get precise measurements.
Its not that i dont trust your work hangtime, I believe you are right its just going to be alot more accurate to measure it without the bumber on. That way you don't haft to deal with the gap between the bumper and the light. I will also snap some photos and try and get a measurement to the center of the low beam.
The more accurate his rig is, the easier it will be for him to get the light positioned right.
oh yeah I"m back from morocco! had a blast! now that I'm in canada again I can start posting more againbrandonbeeb wrote:sounds good, thank you. this thread has been quiet for a few days not sure why
