What? I'm so lost on this. This phone is running Android OS, being mostly developed by google, so this is like saying HP computers suck at running Windows in comparison to Dell. Sure, HTC has a hand in developing the UI, but as for making the phone not work, I doubt it. The Nexus 1, EVO and Droid Incredible are all HTC phones on three different networks. They are also insanely popular amongst the tech-crowd and I've yet to see one complaint to this end. And I spend far too many hours every day reading tech articles about gadgets (I am a huge nerd). Or are you referring to something else?Dattebayo wrote:HTC phones have lots of problems with the operating systems on them.
I assure you that you will have to re-start your phone at least once a day, probably more.
Sent. Don't know how long it'll take to get there, but you should be set.ADDirishboy wrote:Adam, mind sending one my way? Addirishboy89 (at) gmail.com
Anyone I know who has owned an HTC phone has said the phone does not run well, It has to be restarted often for some reason. I don't know if it's because the OS is incompatible with the hardware or what, but nevertheless the personal reviews haven't been good around here.AppleBonker wrote:What? I'm so lost on this. wait what?Dattebayo wrote:I wasn't referring to the droid, Adam. That is not really a HTC phone, Yes, it is badged as such, but it was more of a collaboration.

I just caught the irony in this statement. I sincerely hope it was deliberate.Dattebayo wrote:you don't have to play it like I am stupid, OK?
Also earning a point for the phone over the car:Jesda wrote:Honestly, the Evo phone is a lot prettier than the car.
But the car is more fun.
I'm a dork, not a nerd... I don't know how to do any of that on a phone. But I can play the hell out of a video game or get into a heated debate over anything comic book or sci-fi/fantasy related. The nerdiest thing I can do is build a computer and install/work with PC software.PoorManQ45 wrote:Chaotic: Look in to rooting your phone and changing to a Cyanogen built rom.
If you're trying to use Google Maps there is a known issue with one of the versions. Sometimes even updating didn't fix it. You have to remove the program completely and only install the latest version.
My brother has had one for more then a week now and no battery issues at all. Just make sure to turn off the 4g when not neededJesda wrote:I heard battery life was only 3-4 hours. Can anyone confirm?
