Most providers offer an unlimited data package. I pay $25/month for unlimited data and 400 texts on top of basic voice charges, so it's not bad. I don't even use the texts, but for some reason the data+text package was $5 cheaper than just data.WDRacing wrote:Doesn't using all of the apps these things are capable cost lots of $$$? Like bandwidth charges and whatnot? I'd be on the pronz 24/7 if I had the access.
You want one? I still have all of my invites left.PoorManQ45 wrote:I still don't have a google voice number. If I did I would drop unlimited talk and text and do all that over data through google voice.
I read about this yesterday, I laughed quite a bit. I can't believe that they're this freakin stupid to do something like this, AT&T's unlimited plan was already ridiculous but this is just retarded. Along with all the dropped calls I had and never hardly being able to get 3G, i'm so glad we switched to Sprint. We save $30 a month and get way more for our money compared to AT&T, plus tons better coverage so far. I can't believe they think these 2 new plans are really going to bring in more customers, although i'm sure that some people think it will be plentyMinisterofDOOM wrote: AT&T is actually DOING AWAY with their unlimited data option, though. You'll be able to keep it if you have it, but new contracts will be stuck with one of two limited-data packages, both of which suck...and both of which charge $10 extra for each 1GB you use past your limit. It's either $15 for 200MB (useless) or $25 for 2GB. Which is also useless for anyone who actually USES the internets on their phone.
Most providers don't suck like AT&T though.
Search the market for keyboards. There are tons of alternative keyboard options, and some of them try to emulate the iphone's style. I use Smart Keyboard Pro.Pwnin O'Brien wrote:The HTC keyboard is a little difficult to get used to coming off an iPhone 3G and a Bold 9700.

i do not believe it to be an issue of keyboard design, from what i can tell... and this is just a theory of mine... the android OS has issues with multi-touch, not only it's smoothness with zoom/etc, but also when you are typing fast and ur fingers overlap 2 keys at once.MinisterofDOOM wrote:Search the market for keyboards. Download Overclock from the market. It's free.Pwnin O'Brien wrote:I just got my HTC Incredible yesterday and it is pretty sweet. The only complaints I have so far is the really crappy battery life. The HTC keyboard is a little difficult to get used to coming off an iPhone 3G and a Bold 9700. I also expected the phone to be lightning fast but it can lag a little at times. Also, AMOLED sucks balls outside, it's completely pointless unless you're a vampire.
Yes, of course.Koshin wrote: YOU TALKING TO ME aNDREW?

I assure you that you will have to re-start your phone at least once a day, probably more.
