Yep, I've been following this. Zac Efron is being cast as Kaneda. Supposedly he is an anime fan, so there may be a chance he can play him well. Leo DiCaprio is one of the producers, is an anime fanatic, and he says that Akira is one of his favorite movies ever, so hopefully he'll have some pull on the direction and storyline getting done correctly.Chaotic_Warlord wrote:You guys do realize that the are making a live action version of Akira right... in 3D.
