Ive become a bit of a movie whore recently. We all know the big name movies, and the classics that everyone has seen.

What are some of the best movies that most people in general probably havent caught wind of, or passed by without much recognition.

We obviously all have different taste in movies, so this may be dfficult

I'll start off with one of my old favourites. A very powerful movie to me and I highly recomend it, Im sure people have better

Sling Blade

Donnie Darko is very good, more may have seen it though

Billy bob won a oscar for sling blade and donnie darko is a cult classic. Those movies aren't very obscure.

I have one. The french horror movies Martyrs is great movie. One of the best horror movies i have ever seen. But its all in english subtitles. Also the movie The Collector is another great horror flick that didn't get a lot of press.

Sling Blade is excellent. I've got the director's cut DVD with tons of extras.

People seem to either hate it (For obvious reasons) or think it's awesome, I count myself in the latter group.

Wow, let's push the rewind button and name some classics that most people haven't seen but are well worth the time to watch.

Citizen Kane
Clockwork Orange
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Deer Hunter
M.A.S.H. (the movie not the show)
In The Heat of the Night (Again the movie not the show)
Cannonball Run (the sequels were garbage)
1984
The Andromeda Strain
Nosferatu (it's a silent horror film but worth the watch if for nothing more than to laugh at the Vampire)

I could go on, I'm a bit of a movie buff, especially the classics and cult films. If you want to know what are consider to be THE greatest films of all time then go hear... http://www.filmsite.org/momentsindx.html
