I promise I'll post a video once I fix this timing issue.

It sucks that i have to take s*** back apart, but it's worth it. The engine is pretty damn fast and it's not even timed right, I can't wait till it's running normal!!!

I fixed my stupid timing issue!!

And just for anyone that has any problems like that, I made a write up on how to fix it.

how-to-fix-an-incorrectly-installed-tim ... 08263.html

I also figured out my wiring issue. I accidentally grounded my alternator ground to the alternator itself, lol... :tisk:
Fixed that, drove around for a week with some rigged fuse since I couldnt find a 75A. But I found one on ebay and now everything is correct. I also installed orange lights in my gauge cluster.

Coming in the mail right now are my electric fans so I can fix my overheating problem (bad clutch fan) :bigthumb:

Only other problem left is my TPS, it's not adjusted correctly. Other than that, I fixed pretty much everything! :dblthumb:

Today I was tracing leaks. Found a gas leak and a small oil leak.

The gas leak is coming from my fuel filter hose, it's corroded. So I'll fix that, easy. The oil leak is coming through the threads of my turbo drain, all that needs is some thread sealant. Easy fixes, for once. :P

I haven't been updating this thread because I've been so busy working on stupid problems with the car.

First, the oil sending unit went out, for the 2nd time, and caused a huge leak. :bigfu: you, sending unit

So I bought this:
Image

Second, my intake cam cracked while torquing the cam bolt back in.

Third, my clutch started chattering and is overall a peice of junk. People say it's a win/lose with XTD, guess I lost. Got a 50 dollar refund though, and bought an Exedy.

Fourth, my fuel line from the fuel filter to the hard line corroded causing a huge fuel leak, fixed that.

Fifth, my TPS wouldn't adjust to .45-.55V, but it passed the resistance test, so I figured it was good...changed it and now it's fine.. f^ck electrical.

Sixth, I need a new transmission mount.

Anyway, this is my dads CB750.

And the 240.

Does ANYONE know what size the differential bolt is? The long one that bolts into the frame, has a pointed tip, there are 2 of them. Because I'm missing one, and need to replace it.

I cant decide what to do next...feel good mods like shifter, steering wheel, suspension, brakes...or turbo...hmm

I already have a Z32 diff!

changed my coolant today, since i got a new radiator from a friend of mine for free. It's just stock but in new condition. Got a 14" e-fan as well, and 5mm wheel spacers cause my front tires were rubbing on my springs.

Hey just a quick question, did you use the dowel pin for the timing chain?? Right above the crank gear, like is it needed or not?? Cause mines doesn't stay there by itself, it hangs loose. So??

Thanks. Running videos will be soon! It's already pretty quick for N/A. If I launch it at 4K it'll hit 7K instantly and get all sideways. It's pretty fun.

I have been thinking about an sr T25 set up, since it's affordable. 370CC injectors, walbro, sr t25, sr intercooler piping, fmic (already have it), enthalpy tune, etc.

But for now, I think I should upgrade the parts of my car that have been left out, like suspension, etc.

Well since I have no money, and an urge to work on my car, I just decided to do some body work. I want to paint it, so I might as well prepare it. Yes I purposely chose the most obnoxious primer available.

Sanding down

Image

After 80 grit, 120 grit, 210 grit, 230 wet sand

Image

Nasty puke color primer

Test paint on bumper

not saying that the final product doesnt look good, but you really shouldnt use the rough of grit unless your sanding filler. to sand a panel that is just paint, you should use 320 and then 400 before paint. and if you have lots of orange peel or runs, then you can use 220. and for bondo obviously 80 to get it to shape, then 120 before primer, then sand primer with 220 then 320 then 400. but its looking good. keep it up.

Eh. That pic was before body work and stuff. There's a bunch of pictures I didn't upload cause I'm too lazy. I fixed all the dents and stuff with bondo/spot putty, then sanded the car down with 320/400, primered it, wetsanded it, then layed on the paint.

and nah, it's rolled on.
