Too late!

I may take the ol' '63 out for a drive this weekend, in fact.

Of course, if you send me the CSP311, I'm sure we could find you a '59 sedan, or maybe a '61 pickup to take its place.

Besides, the '65 needs to be driven... she's been speaking to me from storage - I hear her in my sleep... she really wants to live in Arizona!

Here ya go, Doc - The story on the 411: zerothread?id=421540

You put a 13B in ANYTHING bigger than a go-kart and I won't ever speak to you again.

I'm planning a run out to CA to meet up with Les Canaday, and we're now sponsoring the JCCS (great show, great people).

Gotta get the 63 and 67 done before JCCS next year... still working on the RB-into-S30 for my bride, and at some point, I need to finish the convertible.

I need a vacation.

p.s. I did the quiz. Yo.

JNC Magazine (I'm a "lifer"...): http://japanesenostalgiccar.co...=shop

Here's the event in SoCal - Note, we were a small sponsor in 09, and we're stepping it up BIG TIME for 2010: http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com/

I guess it's an OK motor... for a motorcycle. I like my motors to make power BELOW 6000 rpm.

A couple months ago, I came REAL close to picking this up - I knew you'd poop your pants, so I held off on the purchase:

Bonus question:

Who owns the oldest Datsun: AZhitman or Speeddoctor?
There's my quiz answers.

Speedoctor Quiz #2 Answers:

1. There was a "factory" cross flow head that was made in extremely low numbers for the factory race team. It was the result of research by both Yamaha and O.S. Giken.

2. The president if Nissan Japan in the 1950s Mr. Kawamata, chose some interesting names that didn't go well with American culture. Mr. K. was aware of this early on....Fairlady was chosen after the president saw "My Fairlady", in New York in 1958. Go figure.... The name Silvia was chosen by the same president....Silvia has a feminine latin root and means "of the forest".

3. The California design team gets credit for the body styling of the G series and employed some germanic qualities within. In fact, said design team really gets credit for turning Nissan's often laborious and confused designs that left both Infiniti and Nissan design's wanting. Nissan learned as have others, that great designs come from great minds. Design by comittee, usually doesn't work..There has to be a team leader who makes the final decisions and unifies the parts into a glorious whole.

Winners will be announced tomorrow. SD

1. Wheel speed sensors/traction control, TPS, and G-force meter (kinda like on an airplane)2. ~12 psi3. Safety reasons (people don't need that kind of power) and possibly emissions, but that's doubtful.

Wo ho!!!! Some late but great responses to Speeddoctor Quiz #3!!!!

1. 3 sensings units: a. Steering wheel position sensor b. 3 g sensors (lateral, fore and aft) c. rear wheel spin

2. 1 bar....(low).. If u had bought ur GTR at a Japanese dealer, it is likely that the salesperson would have pointed out a little black hose going into the boost regulator. A half inch from the end of the hose is a yellow line marking where the air restrictor jet sits. Cut the hose just below the line, and re-attach. U have gotten rid of ther jet, and, U r now making 2 bar and gain a free 100-110 hp on a stock GTR...(400-410)....

3. Japanese manufacturers always concerned about image and safety, had a loose agreement to keep flywheel hp below 300....we knew only time would tell..AS Greg aptly pointed out.

Good job to all...if ur a nissan buff, why not have some Nissan knowledge?

Stay tuned for the next quiz and for this quiz's winners. SD
