And to think I was looking into getting rid of my car. I have a feeling this thing is going to kill a lot of competition.

^ oh, of course. This setup puts us in a new range of competition (especially if the tires hook up).

Haha, the TCS light...that's sweet. I think the only thing that would annoy me about this is the SES light - i hate that thing.

Then don't get a turbo The injectors need to be bigger to fuel the charged air, however, the stock computer doesn't know their are larger injectors in there. The car senses the rich condition in the exhaust and throws the SES light. Its cool though. It comes and goes

I really want you here in NY to go to a G37 meet with me and we can probably pay for your turbo in a few hours off the winnings...

adidas2go wrote:Hey guys, I just got home and Im beat. Alright, a few things. The CVT holds up stttrrrronnngg. No slipping of the band and I even chirped the tires a few times, at 30 mph. That's very good, it means the power is getting through the transmission and to the ground. Here are few videos I took. They are pretty horrible shots, but you get the idea. Sorry you can't hear the BOV from inside very well, but I tell you what. I scared a guy off his bike about an hour ago. He seriously fell down when I came up behind him and spouted off, scared of the BOV. No bs

Notice the tire slip with TCS on

I have soe more videos and tons of pictures we are putting together a little somehting right now.I will post up the vids and everything else a little later today.

About the kit........at the moment Blakes car is running soley on the stock ECU.The EMS we were going to use was not compatiable with some of the new style sensors Nissan is using so we are going to have a custom EMS made specifically for the Altima Coupe.

Also,Blakes car is only running 5 psi of boost with a really rich mixture so it is not exactly making the most power possible at this point but it is safe for him to drive which is why we told him to come pick it up.When he goes on leave in the next week or two is when it will get the New EMS made for him.At that point we can tune it and even at 5 psi,it will be alot quicker then it is now.

Plans are to go up to 8-9 psi but only if the CVT will cope with it.At this point the CVT is still working great but only time will tell how long it will last and at what power level it will give out.Blake understands this and we both agreed we would slowly turn up the wick on this thing. As it sits right now,it is very fast.'Dynoing it was a challenge and we couldnt get real good numbers because the boost would fall off at high rpoms down to 0 psi!LOL.On the street it maintain boost till redline.

Pricing wil be set at $5995 for the kit. This will include everything needed to run it safely. At this time it is for the CVT only but we might do a kit for the six speeds down the road.

So stay tuned for some cool viudoes and pics and ofcourse the dyno charts for what we have gotten so far(even though they are not that accurate)

Tim

Yeah I went over to the "other" forum to hype up the kit, but there's so many douches and haters over there, I just hate posting over there... there's a reason I made NICO my home!

what are the plans for a custom ecu? This was a major part of why i was without my coupe for so long.

add on:sorry blake, got caught up in Tim's post. Congrats man!!! looks and sounds great. I know what you're talking about scaring people with the bov. It's hella mean, but hard not to. I leave old folks and women alone when it comes to that, but when seeing riced civics with there window down I blast um. good times

I think the thing i love the most is the last picture with the Boost Gauge in the spot where there was a vent.

Imagine the look on poeples face when they get in your car for the first time and they dont know you have turbo and they are looking around until they finaly see that white gauge and start thinking um wtf is that real? hahahah I would say no its not its just for laughs, it moves and stuff but its not real, god i would love that.

I would also hide my intercooler if i could, reason why is i dont want my car to be targeted for theft if i was parked any where, but then again i have a little paranoia running in my viens so stufff like that bothers me. I also like the sleeper effect and i dont like the attention that it would bring, positive or negative.

And a off topic (hate when poeple move the topic of a thread of something else and yes i am good at doing it but i feel bad each time) Neither canadian coupe or adidas said any thing bad. You cant live life with everything being positive or super super joy joy. Just gotta take it and give it back. And for the others who said go to a saab forum, thats just not cool in my opinion, maybe he likes altima coupe forum and its members.

Blake,

Congratulations the kit looks great. Hopefully you guys can get the tuning sorted out ASAP.

Just a quick thought. What have you guys done with the cats? factory, hi-flow, or straight pipe?

I ask because NISSAN is known for having poorly constructed cats that like to fail under boost or if the car is running too rich. I'm sure that SF has considered this and put the necessary pre-cautions in place but just thought I'd mention it...

We are sorting out the tuning asap.We got thrown for a loop on this car.We had an eMS system but it wouldnt work with the sensors on this car.So a new one is being made.

On this kit, we eliminate the cat. There is room to put a hi-flow unit in but not the factory units.

Here is a video of Blakes car on the dyno, in car footage and some drive by's.FYI, the smoke in the engine compartment on the dyno is from the header wrap.It does that for a little bit of time before it stops. Smells nasty too.
