Did she look like either of these ladies?cellardoorv wrote:I work in a pharmacy.
Today, I rang up a disgustingly obese woman for a prescription of Phentermine, which is a controlled-substance weight loss drug. Cool. What else did I ring up along with that prescription? Three, 2-liter bottles of Coke, an already opened bottle of Coke 20oz, an empty wrapper of a King-Sized Reese's Cups, and four packages of various assortments of TastyKake.

No. There is not. I've flown southwest several times. Every time has been the same. They group you into boarding groups and you pick whatever seat you want from what's available as you board.PoorManQ45 wrote:When you actually get your boarding pass there is a row and a seat on it.

Yea, I've flown Southwest many times and it's always choose your own seat. Handy when there's a hot chick you wanna creep on.MinisterofDOOM wrote:

Well said.krimsonviper wrote:TL;DR
Just got the gist that you guy just absolutely hate fat people, which kinda disgusts me a little bit. Prejudice is prejudice and I don't see how this falls into any other category.
Yes, I'm way overweight, 5'7 210lbs. I was pretty much the same weight I am since freshman high school, the difference is I have less muscle mass now then back then. I want to work on getting muscle back and be able to run a mile, but I have too much going on and I will admit I'm a tad depressed and just angry because of my problems, that I haven't done anything about it. I don't over eat, I just don't do anything. I'm probably a target for one of your hate acts. I don't particularly care. I'm posting because you guys group all fatties as POSs. My mom is very much overweight.
She's a target that I don't appreciate you guys attacking her, whether it was direct or not. My mom is NOT A POS. She has 2 bad knees and they've been deteriorating since 1994. She doesn't do anything about it because she's afraid of surgery and that she may die in its process. Scared to the point that she will endure her overweight problem, mostly likely, until she dies. I've talked to her about it, but she's old school and from a country where they don't like talking about death, or any of the sort.
She tried doing something about it; She used to walk everyday for about a mile +, but stopped because her knees cause her too much pain. Then she tried swimming, which she stopped because of a**holes, much like yourselves, made fun of her for being in the pool. How embarrassing is it for someone who isn't a socialite to be rediculed for trying? Pretty much since then, she's declining. And it hurts to see pictures of my beautiful mom in her prime(my bookFace default) and see what she's turned into.
What I'm getting at is why do you have to be so cold hearted towards a set of people simply because they aren't what you subject as normal? Yeah, a lot of people do things to get to the point they are in. Some tried, some didn't, but you sure as HELL don't need to be so cruel about it. If you don't like "bigguns" then don't be one. Teach your kids not to be one. Have their kids not be one. Try and get a community to exercise. Make fun of a set of people, or being outraged by it, really isn't going to change anything, in fact with overweight people, it can very much have an opposite effect. And do the good with a good heart.
And then a lot of you guys look at the world going to hell in a handbasket and complain about it, when you're very much attributing to it, unknowingly(in your defense).
As for the O.P., that kid didn't deserve that spot, if his parents didn't buy him that second ticket. Again, TL;DR

And I totally agree with this.ADDirishboy wrote:I can choose to start doing meth today. It's my body, what do you care? But that does not make it right and we try and divert people from meth with scary billboards and commercials. I think it's necessary to do the same for fat people, and everyone else too. Scare them away from it. When that doesn't work, make it known that the path they have chosen is bad, instead of pampering them.
Yes, it is, calling them fat is not. Fatty is used in a playful manner to describe someone, fat is simply describing them.ADDirishboy wrote:I don't think it's name callinginfinitgkid wrote:
You're correct.
But I think you are missing my point. Obesity, Cancer, AIDS, Down Syndrome, etc. are all conditions and they are all different with different effects. But the point I'm trying to make here is that they ARE conditions that anyone can have, and that makes these people no way, in any shape or form, inferior to the point where they are labeled with names such as "Fatty".
If you or anyone else doesn't mind getting called such derogatory names, then that's your perogative.
And don't think for a minute that I'm defending overweight people because I'm not. I just don't think that we should resort to name calling, ya know?

Fast-forward to 3:11, crank it up.
For me, this isn't an entirely accurate statement. Yes, I generally hate fat people. But, that is redundant. It would be no less accurate for me to say I generally hate people. If I don't already know you, I'd say that 10 times out of 10 I'm going to hate you when we first meet. That extends to everyone, independent of color/race/age/size/sex/etc. Probably why I make fun of everyone too. If I get labeled as being hateful to fatties by making fun of them and I gel labeled as a sexist for making fun of women and I get labeled as racist for making fun of anyone who isn't white, I'm confused as to what that makes me. I'm an equal opportunity offender.krimsonviper wrote:Just got the gist that you guy just absolutely hate fat people, which kinda disgusts me a little bit.
