Ahhh! Necro thread! Oh well, guess I'll update it.

Didn't have to pay back the majority of my $78k hospital bills since I was under state child healthcare at the time it happened. Ended up suing Allan Batzel's insurance, got $50k from them, and my insurance company matched that. After lawyer fees, random health bills, and the loan on the new 240 I got back about $60k. Unfortunately the lawyer I got was kinda... unmotivated. What he should have done is taken Batzel's insurance and the bar all in one go, but he went with the easy job first, and then wanted all sorts of fees upfront to go after the bar that over served Batzel. Since I'm not even sure there is anything to be gained from suing the bar, I found a different lawyer. Besides that, I can't really go into details.

The leg still hurts. Nothing of any consequence ever happened to Allan Batzel, and from what I have heard his drinking habits have not changed.
