Hey, I'm in dire need of a new shift knob. I have the original OEM knob, it looks horrible. I'm just wondering what everyone else is using and how they like it. Post pics!!

I'm thinking about getting this one off ebay, it's like 25 shipped. Anyone using it?

that's probably a fake nismo if it's only $25. i had the rubber nismo gt knob for a while, but the rubber decided it wanted to just slip off the metal part that was actually threaded onto the shifter. now i have a greddy counterweighted knob. it's nice.

mine seems to get warm enough by the time i'm down the street. i haven't had it for long so idk how it will be when it gets hot. i may find something to put on it eventually, we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, that eBay knob came on my car when I bought it except it's white. I still use it. It's fairly comfortable but looks and feels super cheap. The Nismo logo was pretty much stuck on with glue stick so it fell off long ago.

I want a new knob bad but keep spending money on things that actually help performance instead. I'll get one soon enough, can't decide what to get though.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...74820 This is what I'm using. It's pretty heavy and relatively cheap.

It gives you a better feel when you are shifting, and is good if your transmission grinds any gears

more solid and confident shifts. i like the feel of the shifts way more than with an average weighted knob. there are also super light knobs. it's a personal preference thing.

i too have the greddy weighted knob, i love it except for it burns your hand in the summer, and I'm a bit ocd so i hated the gap it made with the shift boot. i ended up making one out of aluminum on a lathe that fits dope. i switch off between the two

I like the NISMO gt knob I have, and prefer the non-weighted shifters for track use.

I'm rockin the Z32 knob, it doesn't fit quite right yet but I'll make it work. I like the look and the feel over the OEM one. It feels a little heavier.

AMS Hammer- nice weight, looks good, but it never wants to tighten facing the correct direction (grid embossment faces passenger).

That's what the Z32 knob is doing too, it tightens facing the rear seats, plus it eats at the boot where the boot meets the base of the knob.

I guess its time to let out a little known secret.

I have the Tenzo-R Shift Knob, it costs just under $50

As you can see, it has 2 different weights that can be switched out or not used at all.

I prefer the heaviest knob to help prevent mis-shifts.In my opinion it is the best shift knob you can buy because of its versatility.

I'm contemplating switching back to my RAZO weighted knob. It's got adjustable height, but was starting to rattle a bit and the material was starting to rub off a bit.

I like my OEM one too, it just felt "small" and the Z32's was "bigger"
