I think youve got me all wrong...I like the some of the stuff from these dudes, I may make some new cds...I just happen to be a lil wayne fan, from way back...And honestly, he has been around since I was 14 or 15 and I have been listening to him since then...he has progressed more than any other artist I have seen in hip-hop..he transcends styles, he is lyrically second to non and on top of it is the amount of material bro...he released 80 songs this year, not including everybodys elses ****...and he may have sold the most albums in 2008, IIRCLeroyBrown wrote:

churchadrians_s13 wrote:Don't get me wrong, I like AZ. I like Nas. I like Masta Ace. I LOVE DJ Premier beats. Hell, I love Brooklyn (even though I've never been there before)... but comparing Weezy to that type of rap is like comparing apples and oranges. Even their diss raps are of a different style. I mean, those rappers haven't even touched the music that Lil wayne's been given the opportunity to make...
Wayne's music, hell his voice, has sooo much potential. He's touched the conscious/political raps. He's touched the chopped/skrewed stuff. He's touched the R&B and tried singing. He's done numerious club songs. He's touched alternative. Hell, he's even done country with Kid Rock. He's been on other genre music stations that don't include 100% rap. The guy has some serious talent, and he still maintains his swagger and stays a G. And it doesn't matter what beat or who the producer is... cuz he STILL murders it.
****, don't even put him on a record. Just chop/skrew a line of his, toss it on a hook, and you already got a number 1 song!
