I think youve got me all wrong...I like the some of the stuff from these dudes, I may make some new cds...I just happen to be a lil wayne fan, from way back...And honestly, he has been around since I was 14 or 15 and I have been listening to him since then...he has progressed more than any other artist I have seen in hip-hop..he transcends styles, he is lyrically second to non and on top of it is the amount of material bro...he released 80 songs this year, not including everybodys elses ****...and he may have sold the most albums in 2008, IIRC

Don't get me wrong, I like AZ. I like Nas. I like Masta Ace. I LOVE DJ Premier beats. Hell, I love Brooklyn (even though I've never been there before)... but comparing Weezy to that type of rap is like comparing apples and oranges. Even their diss raps are of a different style. I mean, those rappers haven't even touched the music that Lil wayne's been given the opportunity to make...

Wayne's music, hell his voice, has sooo much potential. He's touched the conscious/political raps. He's touched the chopped/skrewed stuff. He's touched the R&B and tried singing. He's done numerious club songs. He's touched alternative. Hell, he's even done country with Kid Rock. He's been on other genre music stations that don't include 100% rap. The guy has some serious talent, and he still maintains his swagger and stays a G. And it doesn't matter what beat or who the producer is... cuz he STILL murders it.

****, don't even put him on a record. Just chop/skrew a line of his, toss it on a hook, and you already got a number 1 song!

its also a different feeling when listening to wayne compared to, lets say Nas, AZ or Guru or something...

with Wayne... I listen to his stuff, and its hood. I'm not talking about his lollipop song or whatever's aired on the radio... but his real stuff that the real recognizes (not soo much lately on the carter III. Too tell you the truth, I wasn't all impressed, but he did switch his style up a lot on that album and explored other aspecs of rap... its just Carter II was more gangsta imo).

East coast brooklyn type rap... its good, but it aint hood. I mean... its kinda like what Jay Z said on about Nas always "tryin to kick knowledge." Waay different feeling... almost like its emo rap haha

A lot of people dont like wayne becasue he is drastically different...his whole thought process about rap must be different than everyone elses...he is much more creative and diverse in his delivery and vocabulary than anyone else by far...

Hold on, let me break it down...

Lil Wayne, he has some talent. Some of his music is actually good and he does have some quality raps. However lately his music has gone down the drain. BIG TIME. Lolipop and A Milli < crap....

I think lil Wayne has lost his love for music and is just in it for the $$$, hoes and fame. OR teh drugs are starting to catch up with him.

The people who like his current music are girls, fanbois and followers. People who are too blind to see that his music now sucks. People that think all the f&f movies are awesome. The kind of people that suddenly went emo because it was the "cool" thing to do.

Serioulsy listen to this song!!!!>>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M72zVuBNpEA

Absolutely no way Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive...

Depends what you're doing while listening to the music. Most of this mainstream crap (yes I agree it's crap) is played at parties and dances etc... You would be listening to different music if you were sitting in your car or just enjoying your ipod.

I miss all the 80's music to be honest. Even one of my favorites, Freestyle. The likes of Stevie B,Lil Suzy, George Lamond and especially Information society.
