the paper work is complete and the total is over $30k for the money that adam has scammed from people. i have spoken with some other people too and they have provided means to more paperwork showing adam scamming other people as well so who knows how high the amount is. i have talked with several agencies now and the ball is rolling. those who have emailed me with info stay tuned for more details. i will email you as i find them out. you also need to individually file small claims court suits on your own if you invested less than $4k with adam. for those of you over $4k you will just be named on this suit coming up.

to the mods: this was not about waiting for motor or anything else. this was just plain being scammed. he said a refund was no problem. i even made it easy on him and asked he send my a list of misc parts and the balance in a check. he never did nor does he ever reply anymore. what's even more ridiculous is you lock the threads and dont let people communicate with each other on how to solve the problem. my first post was very legitimate and what happens, locked. it had nothing to do with bad mouthing adam, just a way for everyone with real complaints to get together and do something.

to torry and jay: you guys were right from the beginning. its funny how a guy can promise a skyline with no means of ever getting one imported, take that money and open up a shop.

to the rest of us: CHECK YOUR EMAIL ASAP AND DO AS IT SAYS!!!sux we got scammed but the truth is you probably wont see any money back. i have spoken with adam's bank, he originally had me call them about the money and they informed me he does not have "a significant amount of money" in the account. thats their words. appears to be the only justice that may be served is criminally.

to adam: you pulled some messed up **** and you deserve everything you get. you didnt even pay your employees who were your friends. how lame is that? you screw over your best friend too? you are worthless as a person and i hope you wreck your knew car that you bought with other peoples money. hope your girlfriend enjoys her new clothes and jewelry too.:bash

All concerned parties have or should have their email available.

In a recent thread similar to this one, our Admin Fred clearly stated that EMAIL should be the medium of communication.

Fred's words must be considered. Good luck.

Ya my "complete" motorset was missing the plastic intake piece from the turbo to the MAF, I know i'm never getting one after numerous calls and leaving messages.

Not getting into all the details but when I picked my motor up he told me he owed the bank money which he didn't have, owed lots of people refunds which he didn't have and didn't have money to finish paying for the shipment of engines he was supposed to get in mid august.

welcome to the world of owning a business...Never promise something you don't already have, and never spend money on something that isn't needed.

I've tried to stay out of the whole Adam issue, but I'm glad to see people banding together and supporting eachother in their efforts to get what is rightfully theirs.

yeah, thats what his bank told me basically as well...not a significant amount of money. but again he emails me out of the blue and says i am an *** for ruining his name and that he has money since he finished up a few cars...it really a tale of two tails if you get my drift. he says one thing and others say something completely else. a guy i know just got refund for 1500.00 from him but that was right after i sent my check for 3,000.00 to him. so go figure where the refund money came from

thanks for the compliment Aries. this will probably get locked though as apparently adam has the mods thinking he is a stand up guy. well i have spoken with about everyone adam doud is in business or has done business with including his bank and its not all that it seems. thats all i am going to post.

TO ALL YOU GUYS THAT WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON. AGAIN EMAIL ME AND I AM FORWARDING COPIES OF ALL INFO I HAVE TO YOU AS I GET THEM. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EMAIL SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO TURN THIS INTO A CRIMINAL MATTER AND NOT SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

hmmm regarding the comment about spending money on frivilous things, he had a really nice laptop, a TV bigger than my living room and a PS2 with games out the wazoo. Torry can vouch for this.

Man I just can't believe Adam did this to you guys, I knew he was having problems, but I didn't know it was that serious :(

I'm beginning to believe I'm going to be out $7100 b/c of this which is sad when you trust someone b/c you think them being a supposed avid enthusiast of a motor and car you also care about should be grounds for trust. Now my hopes of having my first actual car i wokred my *** off for that I really wanted seem farther than ever. All I can really hope for now is that the car and parts I sent him are at least still there and I'm not COMPLETELY screwed. Adam if you read this I'd like to thank you for reinforcing why I'm so paranoid to trust people. I pray for you and those of us you have ripped off that you do owe up and pay us back , if not plan to get cozy sleeping on a metal cot for a LONG time. If so I hope you have a real "sweet" roomie as well

I had him pick me up a 1997 240SX from a local lot. Then he swapped out the automatic and put in a redtop.

so if he did all that... where is the car??? what happened?

anyways.. this all sounds like a case of a guy who just didnt know what it took to setup a shop, and ended up way over his head, who knows, mabye if he finishes more swaps... he CAN pay people back, and deliver ... i feel bad for everyone involved

I went to go pick up the car at the shop, it wasn't finished. But I did see the car and the redtop and the swapped transmission, so I know he does do some work.

Let's see I went August 6th and there were a lot of cars in the lot, I don't remember seeing it, but it might have been there. The only car I remember was a black '97.

the black '97 was mine. it had an s14 motor, along w/the 5-speed swap. it also had 17" borbet's on it (if that's the one you're thinking). I started a thread on the "general" forum, conveniently named, "Picked up my car from the shop, unfinished & incomplete."

At the time of my visit (aug. 8th), it appeared that he was within hours of completion. Well, forward again 3 weeks later, not hearing a word from him, I got paranoid & frustrated, so I just rented a trailer & picked up my car...just to get it out of his possession... who knows???.... i didn't know if he was gonna file bankruptsy or something, so I got my car outta there. Needless to say, the car is unfinished, and incomplete.

Well, since he hasn't reassured me of my situation, I feel my options are nill. The options he leaves me with, are... a formal complaint with the BBB, and to join the other unfortunate individuals that have been left into this situation.

Man, I have been screwed over by plenty of shops before, so I feel for you guys. I'm sure the majority of us bust our butts for what we earn, and this is not small cash by any means.

I know I'm a relative newb, but I have stated this before and will state again...

everyone wants to start a car shop once they think they know a thing or two and get a loyal following on a internet board. Proceed with caution, because normal start-up business hiccups aside, I have never seen one of these rag-tag shops become a responsible business.

Were you there guy who has had their car there for quite awhile, when I picked my motor up about a month ago he was working on two cars, both s14's if I remember correctly. If it was you, you might remember us as the two Canadians who picked up their stuff late one night in a nasty brown truck and were in a rush to get out of there. I'm just curious if it was the same person who was having their car worked on over a month ago?

as far as I know rxspeed is waiting on like 4 other people to file the IFCC complaint so federal resources can be used by the investigator. from speaking w/ a few other people it doesn't look like we will get any monetary compensation unless adam pulls something out of his ***. at the least though it looks like adam will do some time in prison if enough people join in on the complaint/suit.

I was *that* guy. I drove to Iowa in a rental car becuase my car was done on the phone. I got to Iowa 6.5 hrs later only to find that done on the phone and done in real life are two different things. I arrived in Iowa at about 11pm or so. I waited there until 630am because I had to be back in Indy. I left without my car because it wouldn't run. I need my car and I don't know how to get it back.

Wait a sec.

He still has some peoples cars?

This gets more and more uncool by the second.

I'm sure glad the deal that I helped my friend get with Adam for an R34 never went through. That would be a HELLLLLLLLL of a lot more money gone, especially if he couldn't legalize it like he said.

Or it could have been an R34 for dirt cheap, we'll never know.
